It’s been almost five months since we have seen the former and longest reigning AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF since dropping the title to Samoa Joe back at World’s End on December 30, 2023.
According to Fightful Select Maxwell Jacob Friedman could be returning as soon as Forbidden Door at the end of June.
There have been many discussions within All Elite Wrestling on how it would look and be presented for an MJF return. Several sources believe he could even be back before the aforementioned Forbidden Door PPV.
He has been under contract with the company for quite sometime. It’s worth noting that after the situation that happened at the 2022 Double or Nothing PPV time was added to his current deal at the time. Now as of this writing Fightful doesn’t know exactly when the extension went into effect. MJF’s contract was set to expire on December 31st, 2023.
There has been no news on his shoulder surgery as during his title reign and Devil Storyline with Adam Cole he was working through a multitude of injuries but wanted to complete the story at World’s End.
Would you be happy to see MJF back on your screens in the near future?
