TNA Final Resolution Dec. 5th, 2025 Preview: Frankie Kazarian Defends Against JDC, Angel Warriors Collide, and TNA Battles NXT in El Paso

TNA closes out 2025 in dramatic fashion tonight as Final Resolution streams live from the El Paso County Coliseum in El Paso, Texas, exclusively on TNA+ at 9 p.m. ET.

This year’s edition isn’t just another monthly special – it’s a crossroads show. At the top of the card, newly crowned TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian makes his first defense against longtime veteran JDC in what’s being billed as one of JDC’s final chances to capture world title gold before his planned retirement in early 2026.

The night also showcases the evolution of the Knockouts division as Léi Yǐng Lee defends her Knockouts World Championship against her tag team partner and best friend Xia Brookside, and the ongoing NXT invasion storyline explodes across multiple title matches, including the Hardys defending the TNA World Tag Team Titles against High Ryze and Steve Maclin putting the International Championship on the line against Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo.

Add in a violent street fight, faction warfare between The Rascalz and Order 4, and a high-stakes X Division clash between Leon Slater and A.J. Francis, and Final Resolution is positioned as a high-energy, story-heavy finale to TNA’s 2025 special events calendar.

(Lineup confirmed by TNA’s official preview, 411Mania, Cagematch, and F4W’s event guide.)

A career-defining shot: Frankie Kazarian (c) vs. JDC – TNA World Championship

After cashing in his Call Your Shot opportunity to become TNA World Champion, Frankie Kazarian walks into El Paso as the self-proclaimed “King of TNA,” but he immediately faces a uniquely emotional challenger.

On recent episodes of iMPACT!, JDC announced that he will retire from in-ring competition at Genesis 2026, making Final Resolution one of his final chances to capture the company’s top prize. Director of Authority Santino Marella granted him this opportunity after JDC defeated Eric Young in a high-stakes qualifying match, framing tonight’s main event as the last big hill for a veteran who’s done nearly everything except hold the TNA World Title.

Kazarian, meanwhile, has leaned into his arrogance and veteran savvy, using the chaos of the ongoing NXT invasion to bolster his own narrative as the centerpiece of TNA. The lingering question heading into El Paso is whether JDC’s emotional momentum and System backing can rattle Kazarian’s composure, or if the champion’s experience in big-match situations will shut the door on JDC’s world title dreams once and for all.

Angel Warriors collide: Léi Yǐng Lee (c) vs. Xia Brookside – Knockouts World Championship

The Knockouts division is anchored tonight by a rare “best friends clash” for the top women’s title. Léi Yǐng Lee became Knockouts World Champion at NXT Gold Rush Week Two, defeating Kelani Jordan and Jordynne Grace in a triple threat and making history as the first Chinese Knockouts World Champion.

Her first challenger is someone who knows her better than anyone: Xia Brookside, her partner in the Angel Warriors tag team. Brookside punched her ticket to Final Resolution by defeating Dani Luna in a #1 contender’s match on the December 4 episode of iMPACT!, a bout that turned when Indi Hartwell neutralized Luna’s attempt to use a chain, allowing Xia to score the decisive roll-up.

Their story makes this more than a standard title defense. Lee and Brookside have built their identity on mutual respect and fluid double-team offense; now, they have to pull that chemistry apart and test each other’s limits in a singles main-stage environment. The intrigue isn’t just who wins—it’s what happens to the Angel Warriors in the aftermath, whether Lee retains or Brookside’s storybook chase ends with championship gold.

TNA vs. NXT for gold: Hardys, Maclin, and the NXT invasion

The NXT invasion has been the defining thread of TNA’s final quarter of 2025, and Final Resolution is where a lot of those tensions come due.

On last night’s go-home iMPACT!, NXT wrestlers led by Robert Stone and Lexis King once again got the best of TNA’s top stars. In the main event 8-man tag, Lexis King, Stacks, Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe defeated TNA’s Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Steve Maclin & Cedric Alexander after King used his trademark foreign object to set up the winning pinfall, giving the NXT contingent bragging rights heading into El Paso.

Tonight, three championships sit on the front line of this cross-promotional clash:

  • TNA World Tag Team Championship – The legendary Hardys defend against High Ryze (Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe), the rising NXT powerhouse duo that has repeatedly proven they can hang physically with TNA’s best. A win for High Ryze would not only crown new champions but also send a seismic message about NXT’s grip on TNA’s tag division.
  • TNA International Championship – Steve Maclin, one of TNA’s standard-bearers in the fight against the invasion, defends his title against Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, whose win in last night’s 8-man tag has given him huge momentum and credibility heading into tonight’s singles showdown.
  • Mike Santana vs. Charlie Dempsey – While not a championship match, this singles bout is deeply tied to the invasion storyline. Charlie Dempsey was central to the attack that injured Mike Santana’s arm and helped open the door for Kazarian’s cash-in and title win, making this a grudge match rooted in revenge and redemption for one of TNA’s most intense competitors.

These matches collectively decide more than belts—they shape the narrative of whether TNA can hold the line against an invading force or if NXT’s presence becomes an entrenched reality moving into 2026.

Workhorse spotlight: Leon Slater (c) vs. A.J. Francis – X Division Championship

The X Division once again occupies a showcase spot with Leon Slater defending his championship against A.J. Francis. Slater has established himself as one of TNA’s most exciting workhorses, turning in standout performances and successfully defending against Rich Swann at Turning Point.

Francis, part of the Fir$t Cla$$ collective, took personal offense to Swann’s sportsmanship after that loss and soon set his sights on Slater himself. Recent episodes of iMPACT! have shown Francis leaning into his size, arrogance, and willingness to bend the rules—most notably when he attacked Slater and posed with the X Division Title—setting the stage for a clash of styles: the agile, risk-taking champion versus a bruising challenger who believes the division is beneath him.

A Slater victory further cements him as the face of the X Division going into 2026; a Francis win would reframe the title scene around a heavyweight bully figure, potentially redefining what the X Division looks like moving forward.

Knockouts tag gold and a rescheduled opportunity: IInspiration vs. Tessa Blanchard & Victoria Crawford

The Knockouts Tag Team Championship match carries its own history. The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay) have been one of TNA’s most visible and charismatic teams, and they now defend against the duo of Tessa Blanchard & Victoria Crawford.

Blanchard and Crawford were originally set to challenge for the titles at Turning Point, but Blanchard was not medically cleared and was replaced by Mila Moore. The IInspiration retained, but TNA promised the original challengers their guaranteed shot once Blanchard was cleared, and Final Resolution is that make-good.

Their tense interactions on iMPACT!—including a failed ambush attempt on the champions—have underscored the contrast in styles and attitude: the confident, veteran champions versus a hungry, dangerous pairing with something to prove after having their first opportunity delayed.

Chaos promised: Cardona vs. Mance Warner Street Fight

If there’s one match almost guaranteed to spill out of the ring and into the crowd, it’s the Street Fight between Matt Cardona and Mance Warner, with Steph De Lander looming at ringside. Their feud escalated after Warner defeated Cardona on the November 20 iMPACT! thanks to De Lander’s involvement, prompting Cardona to demand a no-rules environment where he can settle the score on his terms.

Expect plunder, walk-and-brawl chaos, and plenty of creative weapon usage as both men look to stamp their names on one of the most violent matches on the card.

Faction warfare: The Rascalz vs. Order 4

On the faction side, The Rascalz (Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier & Myron Reed) face Order 4 (Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch, John Skyler & Special Agent 0) in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match that has the potential to steal the show.

Ali’s Order 4 has carved out a niche as a manipulative, strategy-first unit, while the Rascalz bring a history of high-octane, cohesion-based offense. With personal pride and future title aspirations intertwined, this showdown isn’t just about bragging rights—it’s about establishing which faction dictates the pace of TNA’s multi-man scene headed into the new year.

Countdown showcase: Cedric Alexander vs. Eric Young

On the Countdown to Final Resolution pre-show, Cedric Alexander meets Eric Young in what should be a technically sound and hard-fought singles battle.

Alexander has been a linchpin in the ring any time TNA has needed someone to raise the in-ring bar, while Young’s veteran presence and connection to TNA history make this a meaningful bout even outside title contention. It’s a smart opener to hook fans on TNA+ before the main card goes live.

Tonight’s TNA Final Resolution blends emotional stakes, cross-promotional warfare, and championship drama into one of the most layered cards TNA has presented all year. Whether you’re tuning in for Kazarian vs. JDC, the Angel Warriors’ clash, the NXT title challenges, or the Rascalz vs. Order 4, El Paso is set up to deliver a show that doesn’t just close 2025, but sets the tone for everything to come in 2026.
