Ring of Honor is officially heading back to Philadelphia this summer, and one of the promotion’s biggest annual events now has its date, venue and ticket information locked in. ROH Death Before Dishonor 2026 will take place Friday, August 21, 2026, at the legendary 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, bringing the promotion back to one of the most fitting buildings possible for a show built around pride, toughness, championship stakes and the kind of in-ring intensity ROH has always been known for.
Tickets for ROH Death Before Dishonor 2026 will have a presale window beginning Tuesday, July 14 at 10 a.m. ET and running through Wednesday, July 15 at 11:59 p.m. ET. The announcement immediately gives ROH’s summer calendar a major destination point. Death Before Dishonor has become one of the most important shows of the modern ROH era, especially since the company’s relaunch under Tony Khan. Over the last several years, the event has been home to major championship victories, emotional payoffs, breakout performances and some of the strongest pure wrestling matches ROH has produced since returning to a larger national platform.
In 2022, Death Before Dishonor helped set the tone for ROH’s new era when Claudio Castagnoli defeated Jonathan Gresham to win the ROH World Championship, while FTR and The Briscoes delivered a classic two-out-of-three-falls war for the ROH World Tag Team Titles. In 2023, Athena’s historic reign took another major step forward when she retained the ROH Women’s World Championship against Willow Nightingale in a dramatic main event. In 2024, Mark Briscoe carried the emotional weight of ROH’s legacy into his world title defense against Roderick Strong, retaining in a match that felt like a tribute, a fight and a statement all at once. In 2025, Bandido and Hechicero delivered a standout ROH World Championship match, while Athena continued to prove why her run has become one of the defining title reigns in company history.
That history makes the 2026 event feel bigger before a single match is announced. ROH’s current championship scene gives the promotion plenty of directions to go, with Bandido holding the ROH World Championship, Athena still standing as ROH Women’s World Champion, Lio Rush carrying the ROH World Television Championship, Red Velvet holding the ROH Women’s World Television Championship, Místico and Máscara Dorada sitting on top of the ROH tag team division, Deonna Purrazzo representing the Women’s Pure Championship, Lee Moriarty holding the Pure Championship, and Dalton Castle & The Outrunners leading the Six-Man Tag Team division.
The 2300 Arena is also a major part of the story. Philadelphia has always been one of the great wrestling cities, and that building adds a different kind of edge to any ROH show. It is intimate, loud and historically tied to a grittier style of professional wrestling. For Death Before Dishonor, that atmosphere matters. This is not the kind of event that needs flash more than substance. It needs stakes, violence when necessary, championship drama, hard-earned respect and matches that feel like they belong under the ROH banner.
ROH has not announced the official card yet, but the timing of the announcement makes it clear that the road to Death Before Dishonor is now underway. With tickets going on sale in mid-July and the show set for late August, the next several weeks of ROH programming should begin shaping the title matches, challengers and personal issues that will define the show.
