TNA iMPACT! LIVE tonight has a first champion to crown and a world-title challenge that deserves to drive the road to Bound For Glory. Tonight’s broadcast from the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario, begins at 9 p.m. ET on AMC and AMC+, with Jada Stone facing M by Elegance in the Knockouts Television Championship tournament final. Lockdown also left Nic Nemeth holding the World and Tag Team Championships, Leon Slater coming for his world title, and Jason Hotch chasing an answer after Mustafa Ali took back the International Championship. Those developments give tonight substance. The harder job is making the losses matter, especially for the wrestlers TNA keeps presenting as its future.

Also confirmed heading into tonight: Santino Marella has announced a series of qualifying matches, with the winners advancing to a six-way match for the vacant TNA X-Division Championship at Bound For Glory. Leon Slater vacated the title after exercising Option C. The announcement did not specify the qualifying matchups or their start date.
Jada earned tonight’s opportunity by beating Heather last week. Heather cut off her aerial offense and delivered a German suplex on the apron. Jada answered with a hurricanrana to the floor, made it back inside and caught Heather with the Spark Stunner for the pin. She survived the punishment and still recognized the opening. That is a useful foundation for a champion.
M eliminated Rosemary, received a bye after Elayna Black and Wendy Choo’s draw, then beat Indi after Xia Brookside and Elayna’s ringside fight distracted her. Her place is legitimate, but Jada has put together the stronger run. M also enters tonight after Kiera Hogan pinned her at Lockdown, where Heather’s attempt to neutralize Allie with handcuffs failed to deliver the tag titles.
Jada should become the first champion. Her victories have given this tournament a developing central character, and the belt would give that progress a weekly purpose. But she also comes out of Lethal Lockdown, where her cage dive and collision with Alisha on the thumbtacks came in a losing effort. Tonight needs a finish that establishes the winner’s ability, followed by challengers who earn their opportunities. A championship advertised for defenses exclusively on iMPACT! needs a division that can sustain it.
Slater’s next step is already bigger. At Lockdown, he beat Cedric Alexander in their Last Man Standing cage match with three Lumbar Checks followed by the Swanton 450. Cedric failed to beat the ten-count. The threat of erasing Slater’s previous title history was unnecessary baggage for a rivalry that already had a championship and revenge at stake. The finish worked because Slater used Cedric’s own weapon against him before completing the job with his own.
Then he invoked Option C to challenge Nic for the World Championship at Bound For Glory on Sunday, October 11, in Tampa, vacating the X-Division title in the process. That gamble now opens six places on the Bound For Glory card through Santino’s qualifying series. Tonight should begin advancing Slater’s challenge, while the qualifiers can establish contenders and rivalries for the division he has left behind.
The Nemeths strengthened Nic’s position by taking the tag titles from the Hardys. Matt put Ryan through a table with an elbow drop, but Nic caught Matt with the Danger Zone for the pin. Nic stayed ready after the spectacle. Slater then interrupted the celebration and left the brothers down, giving Nic a problem his second championship could not solve.
The reversal from last week is striking. The Hardys, Moose and Elijah won the closing eight-man tag after Jeff pinned AJ Francis with the Swanton Bomb. At Lockdown, the Hardys lost their titles, Moose lost when his spear sent Frankie Kazarian through the cage door, and Elijah lost to Francis after Expressions interfered. All four members of that winning team left Sunday beaten. Tonight needs to show what changes for them.
Hotch’s situation is more personal. Last week, Ali forced him into a match with John Skyler, only for Zero to interrupt their respectful wrestling. At Lockdown, Ali took Hotch’s daughter’s toy and threatened to burn it. Hotch fought back with a crossbody from the cage through a ringside table and a double stomp from the cage, but Ali pinned him after a second 450 splash.
Tonight’s tag match gives Hotch a partner who has already beaten Zero: Trey rolled him up on the Lockdown pre-show. Skyler checking on Hotch and Tasha Steelz resisting Ali’s escape attempt also showed that Order 4’s loyalty problem survived the title change. Hotch needs to keep making decisions for himself. Losing the belt cannot send him straight back to being a supporting character in Ali’s story.
The System presents the same concern on a wider scale. Myers used a low blow and the Roster Cut to beat Fabian Aichner for the Lethal Lockdown advantage last week. Sunday ended with Eddie Edwards pinning Ricky Sosa after a package piledriver onto chairs. Sosa, Aichner, KC Navarro and Jada supplied the resistance, but the gatekeepers kept the result. That can build a bigger payoff; it becomes frustrating if the younger wrestlers only get spectacular ways to lose.
Elijah faces Bronson tonight with Myers at ringside, following both his defeat and the backstage attack at Lockdown. The attack followed the earlier incidents involving Moose and Cedric, but the culprit remains unidentified. Bronson being his opponent does not establish that The System was responsible.
Indi’s advertised action follows her demand for a Knockouts World Championship opportunity. Xia retained against Elayna with powder and a roll-up, leaving Indi a champion whose shortcuts need answering. Harley Hudson also deserves follow-through after beating Alisha last week to keep her job; Jada’s subsequent save should help develop their connection.
Swann beat Mr. Elegance before he and BDE lost to The Righteous at Lockdown, keeping BDE’s recruitment story unsettled. Avery’s arrival adds another thread after Kazarian offered himself as a trusted guide. TNA needs to give Avery an identity beyond his surname.

Final Thoughts
Tonight should establish Jada or M as someone the division can be built around, give Hotch meaningful resistance against Ali, and start moving Slater’s world-title challenge forward. Lockdown supplied enough consequences to fill the road to Bound For Glory. The test now is whether TNA lets its emerging wrestlers change their standing, rather than repeatedly asking them to prove they belong.
