Wrestlepalooza Perth 2026 will headline WWE’s return to RAC Arena on Saturday, December 12, with SmackDown and Raw completing three shows across four days. For Australian fans, the useful news extends beyond this year’s schedule: Perth has a place in WWE’s plans through 2028.
In its August 27 announcement, WWE confirmed an agreement with the Western Australian Government through Tourism Western Australia for annual weekend takeovers featuring a premium live event from 2026 through 2028.
The setup gives WWE an opportunity to carry a story through the city: SmackDown can deliver the final confrontation, Saturday can settle it, and Raw can establish what comes next. That would give each ticket a purpose beyond seeing another version of the same attraction.
Why WWE is committing to Perth
Perth previously hosted Elimination Chamber in 2024 and Crown Jewel in 2025. Wrestlepalooza Perth now gives the city a different premium event while preserving the appeal of a visit that includes both flagship weekly shows.
WWE’s announcement attributes more than AUD $58 million in economic impact to its previous Perth events. That is a claim about benefits to the state’s economy, not a disclosed payment to WWE. The financial terms of the new agreement were not included.
The commercial logic is straightforward. Travelling fans can attend several shows without moving between cities, while the Friday-to-Monday schedule creates reasons to stay longer. For visitors, however, more opportunities to watch wrestling also mean a larger potential bill for tickets, meals and accommodation.
The agreement offers something useful beyond this December: continuity. Local fans gain more certainty about WWE returning, and the company can build familiarity with the market. The challenge is giving people a compelling reason to come back when the novelty of another international announcement has worn off.
Wrestlepalooza Perth still needs a card worth the trip
A strong weekend needs more than an appealing location. Saturday’s show needs meaningful stakes, while SmackDown and Raw should contribute enough to justify attending all three.
That does not require a title change on every show or a surprise appearance to manufacture excitement. It requires matches with a reason to happen, stories that reward the audience’s investment and consequences that survive beyond the closing broadcast. A loud crowd can improve the atmosphere; it cannot supply missing stakes.
No matches, stipulations or championship defenses were included in the announcement. With December still months away, that is no reason to dismiss the event. It is a reason to reserve judgment about its quality and value until WWE reveals what fans are actually buying.
The later takeovers also remain open. The agreement promises annual premium events, but it does not name the 2027 and 2028 editions. Wrestlepalooza Perth is the confirmed starting point, not an announced permanent identity for every future visit.

Three-event combo tickets enter presale on Wednesday, September 9 at 10 a.m. AWST, followed by general sale on Thursday, September 10 at 10 a.m. AWST. Fans can register through WWE’s official event page.
On Location priority packages are also planned, with deposits available. Standard ticket prices, an individual-event sale date and exact show start times were not provided in the announcement materials reviewed.
For now, Wrestlepalooza Perth gives Australian fans confirmed dates and a longer commitment from WWE. The next test is straightforward: make the wrestling worth the money and the journey.
