Monday Night RAW To Return To Their Original Two Hour Format

It was announced tonight during the season premiere of Monday Night RAW as part of WWE Week on USA Network that RAW will be returning to their two hour format starting Monday October 7th through the end of the year.

Monday Night RAW first expanded to three hours on the 1000th episode of the longest weekly running episodic show in television history on July 23rd, 2012.

Many fans have criticized the company for this decision as the show became too long to keep their attention plus for the longest time the company didn’t know how to either increase or maintain viewership. They’ve tried numerous segments like the infamous RAW Underground and Corey Graves Electric Chair segment with Sami Zayn.

Earlier this year WWE announced a five billion dollar deal to stream the flagship show on Netflix. It was recently announced that RAW will air on the streaming platform starting Monday January 6th, 2025.

With the announcement of RAW going back to two hours next month it is unknown as of this writing if the show will remain two hours once it premieres on Netflix next year.
