BREAKING: WrestleMania Returns to Las Vegas — WWE Announces WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium in April 2026

In a jaw-dropping announcement during tonight’s Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, WWE has confirmed that WrestleMania 42 will once again take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, returning to Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2026. The announcement was made official through a cinematic video package, culminating in WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque making the declaration himself.

The return to Las Vegas is a direct result of the overwhelming success of WrestleMania 41, which electrified Sin City just months ago and set a new benchmark for WWE’s signature spectacle. But it wasn’t just two nights of action — it was an all-encompassing WWE takeover.

From SmackDown and the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, to NXT Stand & Deliver and the immersive fan experiences at the WrestleMania Superstore, every corner of the Las Vegas Strip pulsed with WWE energy. Casinos, arenas, and local businesses reported record attendance, making Mania Week a cultural and commercial triumph.

Allegiant Stadium proved the perfect host — a modern coliseum fit for the pageantry and chaos of WrestleMania. Now, WWE will run it back in 2026, doubling down on the Vegas experience.

WrestleMania 41 Night 1 was headlined by an emotionally charged Triple Threat Match featuring Roman Reigns, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, and CM Punk. Punk entered the match by cashing in a “favor” he had earned from Paul Heymanfor aiding The OG Bloodline at Survivor Series WarGames. But the real story came in the closing moments when Heyman — long the mastermind of Bloodline business — betrayed both Punk and Reigns, aligning instead with Rollins.

The Las Vegas crowd gasped in unison as Heyman handed Rollins a steel chair, setting the stage for a devastating stomp to Reigns. Rollins picked up the win in stunning fashion, leaving Heyman’s double betrayal the talk of the wrestling world.

If Night 1 was chaos, Night 2 was history. In a match no one saw coming months earlier, Cody Rhodes defended the Undisputed WWE Championship against a newly heel-turned John Cena — a turn that had rocked the foundation of WWE at Elimination Chamber. Cena, once the face of hustle, loyalty, and respect, had joined forces with The Rock and none other than global superstar Travis Scott to form one of the most shocking alliances in WWE history.

With interference from Scott and moral support from The Rock, Cena toppled Rhodes and claimed his record-breaking 17th World Championship, surpassing the legendary Ric Flair. The visual of Cena hoisting the title with an unrepentant smirk, backed by a pyro blast and hip-hop anthem, was the final image of WrestleMania 41 — and one that will live in infamy.

This blockbuster Las Vegas announcement also answers months of speculation and confusion. Earlier this year, The Rock made headlines by announcing that WrestleMania 42 would take place in New Orleans, Louisiana — a city that had previously hosted two legendary Manias (WrestleMania 30 and 34). But curiously, the announcement was never acknowledged again.

No promotional materials followed. No city-wide partnerships emerged. WWE remained silent on the matter, leading fans and insiders to question if the New Orleans plan was scrapped behind the scenes. Tonight’s official video package made it clear: plans had shifted, and Las Vegas had won the bid, whether due to logistical ease, commercial success, or creative opportunity.

The countdown to WrestleMania 42 is officially underway. With Allegiant Stadium locked in and WWE’s creative at full throttle, April 2026 is poised to bring even more spectacle, surprises, and seismic shifts to WWE’s global landscape.
