AEW enters Nashville tonight with one final opportunity to make Redemption feel like an important pay-per-view instead of another stop on the road to All In. Last week’s Dynamite and Collision assembled nearly the entire card for Sunday, but building matches quickly and making people genuinely care about them are two different things.
Kenny Omega accepted Kevin Knight’s challenge for the AEW World Championship, Jon Moxley continued pushing Will Ospreay toward a more ruthless version of himself, the Young Bucks questioned Ospreay’s connection to the Death Riders, and Triangle of Madness returned from STARDOM carrying championship gold.
The advertised card for tonight is not especially large, but all four matches are connected to AEW’s biggest ongoing stories. Knight must defend the TNT Championship against Darby Allin four days before challenging Omega, while Omega, Ospreay and Moxley somehow attempt to coexist against the Don Callis Family.
The Sisters of Sin will challenge Divine Dominion for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship after becoming Artist of STARDOM Champions, and Jay White returns to singles competition against Clark Connors as the Bang Bang Gang’s war with The Dogs becomes increasingly personal.
Here is everything advertised for tonight’s show

AEW Dynamite airs live tonight from The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee, at 8 p.m. ET on TBS and HBO Max.
Last week’s Dynamite opened with Jon Moxley continuing to prepare Will Ospreay for the AEW World Championship opportunity he earned by winning the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
Moxley told Ospreay that the difficult part was already behind him. He had survived the tournament, protected his injured neck and secured his place at All In. The remaining danger was hesitation.
There would eventually come a moment when Ospreay had to make a difficult decision, and Moxley’s message was simple: when the opportunity arrives, pull the trigger regardless of who the target is.
That target is expected to be Kenny Omega.
Ospreay has never hidden what Omega means to him. Omega helped establish the standard Ospreay spent years chasing, and their previous matches became part of the larger argument over which man represented the best wrestler of his generation.
Respect makes their expected All In match more interesting, but Moxley views that respect as a weakness. He is teaching Ospreay that admiring Omega cannot become an excuse to hesitate when the AEW World Championship is within reach.
Christian Cage and Adam Copeland then successfully defended the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta. The Death Riders isolated Copeland for much of the match, but the champions survived through experience, teamwork and Christian’s willingness to create a referee distraction when the match began slipping away from them.
The post-match attack brought Claudio Castagnoli, The Dogs and the Bang Bang Gang into the situation. Jay White and his group made the save, but the temporary alliance with Cage and Copeland did not erase their previous problems.
Cage and Copeland later challenged Claudio and PAC for Redemption, giving the Death Riders a second opportunity to take the World Tag Team Championship with a considerably more dangerous combination than Garcia and Yuta.
AEW also continued teasing a future confrontation between the champions and the Young Bucks. The match would make sense for All In, but both teams must first survive separate Death Riders problems Sunday.
Andrade El Ídolo defeated Jake Doyle to earn an AEW National Championship match against Mark Davis at Redemption.
The match continued Andrade’s attempt to destroy the Don Callis Family by taking away the championships that have become the foundation of its power. Davis holds the National Championship, Kyle Fletcher controls the International Championship and Knight enters tonight as TNT Champion.
Andrade’s motivation goes beyond revenge against Callis. He believes leaving the Family has allowed him to recover the identity and ambition that Callis attempted to control.
Davis responded on Collision by attacking Andrade rather than waiting for Montreal. That was necessary because the National Championship match needed something more personal than Andrade simply defeating one member of the Family to receive an opportunity against another.
The most important segment of Dynamite was Kenny Omega’s first celebration as a two-time AEW World Champion.
The Young Bucks presented Omega with the proper championship belt after he defeated MJF at Beach Break and removed MJF’s customized title from the center of AEW. Omega admitted there was a time when he did not know whether he would ever become World Champion again and credited the people who continued believing in him throughout his health problems and uncertain comeback.
Ospreay then entered to congratulate the champion.
He acknowledged Omega as one of his greatest inspirations but made it clear that admiration would not stop him from attempting to take the title at Wembley Stadium. The handshake between them gave AEW everything it needs for All In without forcing a cheap betrayal or pretending the two men suddenly hate each other.
Kevin Knight interrupted before the celebration could end peacefully.
Knight demanded the World Championship opportunity MJF had previously promised him. Omega initially questioned why he should honor a commitment made by the former champion, but he eventually accepted because he still believes Knight can separate himself from Don Callis.
Knight rejected Omega’s concern and attacked him.
That confrontation officially established the Redemption main event, but AEW immediately created a difficult creative situation. Omega against Ospreay at Wembley has already been presented as the destination. Knight is therefore entering Sunday’s match with most viewers expecting him to lose so AEW can move forward with its larger plans.
Tonight’s TNT Championship match against Darby Allin must make Knight feel like something more than an opponent standing between Omega and Ospreay.
Darby already told Omega that Knight could not be saved through conversation. He believes joining the Don Callis Family was Knight’s decision and that the only way to reach him is through pain.
Darby then destroyed and burned a car connected to Knight, removing any possibility that tonight’s match would be presented as a respectful athletic contest.
Their problems began when Knight attacked Darby at Double or Nothing and helped the Don Callis Family remove him from the TNT Championship picture. Darby has not forgotten it, and he is not returning for the championship alone. He wants to punish Knight for becoming another weapon in Callis’ collection.
Knight successfully defended the title against AR Fox on Collision, proving he could survive against an opponent capable of matching his speed. Darby presents a completely different problem.
Darby will absorb unreasonable amounts of damage if doing so allows him to drag Knight into deeper water. Knight may be faster, more explosive and physically healthier, but Darby is far more comfortable when a match stops resembling normal competition.
The result will directly change Sunday’s World Championship match.
If Knight retains, he enters Redemption attempting to become a double champion after defeating one of AEW’s most relentless wrestlers. If Darby wins, Knight arrives in Montreal without the championship that validated his decision to join Callis.
Losing tonight could make Knight more desperate and dangerous. Winning could make him believe he has already become untouchable. Either outcome should leave consequences that follow him into Sunday.
Kyle Fletcher’s first International Championship defense against Komander was the strongest pure wrestling match on last week’s Dynamite.
Komander repeatedly used his balance, speed and aerial offense to force Fletcher into uncomfortable positions. Fletcher ultimately caught him during another high-risk attempt and retained with a sheer-drop brainbuster, but Komander pushed him harder than Fletcher expected.
The post-match angle exposed more problems inside the Don Callis Family.
Konosuke Takeshita confronted Fletcher before Kazuchika Okada attacked Takeshita. Fletcher and Okada then found themselves holding the International Championship at the same time, and neither man looked interested in surrendering it to the other.
Bandido and Brody King eventually entered the fight, leading Fletcher to challenge Bandido for Redemption.
Fletcher against Bandido should be one of Sunday’s best matches, but the larger story remains the unstable collection of egos surrounding Don Callis. Fletcher does not see himself as Okada’s subordinate. Takeshita has no interest in remaining behind either man. Okada has never behaved like someone willing to share the top position.
AEW has teased the Family’s collapse several times without delivering it. All In is large enough for those repeated confrontations to finally produce a meaningful payoff.
Darby defeated Brian Cage later in the show by surviving Cage’s strength and repeatedly throwing himself into Coffin Drops. That victory gave him momentum before facing Knight while also demonstrating the exact problem the TNT Champion faces tonight.
Darby does not need to dominate. He only needs to remain conscious long enough to create one opening.
Mercedes Moné and Divine Dominion defeated Willow Nightingale, Maya World and Hyan in last week’s main event. Mercedes received the hometown victory by pinning Hyan with the Moné Maker while largely avoiding a prolonged confrontation with Willow.
The match kept Mercedes strong before All In, but it did not give Thekla and Willow’s Women’s World Championship match enough direct attention.
Mercedes already owns the Wembley championship opportunity after winning the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. The winner between Thekla and Willow at Redemption will face her at All In.
That makes Sunday’s title match important, but it also creates the danger of treating the reigning champion like an obstacle standing between Willow and Mercedes.
Thekla’s position became considerably stronger over the weekend when Triangle of Madness traveled to STARDOM and defeated DREAM TRINE’s Ami Sohrei, Hina and Lady C to win the Artist of STARDOM Championship.
The title change was not a random crossover appearance.
Thekla’s relationship with STARDOM ended in hostility after she attacked company president Taro Okada and was removed from the promotion. After arriving in AEW and forming Triangle of Madness with Julia Hart and Skye Blue, she made destroying her former home one of the group’s stated goals.
She declared “death to STARDOM,” invaded the promotion, targeted Okada and eventually defeated Starlight Kid while defending the AEW Women’s World Championship at Forbidden Door.
Triangle of Madness then interrupted the launch of the 5STAR Grand Prix and forced its way into an Artist of STARDOM Championship match. Thekla, Hart and Blue did not return seeking forgiveness or a respectful reunion. They returned to take something.
They accomplished exactly that.
The victory changes Hart and Blue’s position in AEW. They are no longer merely Thekla’s backup. They are internationally recognized champions who helped their leader invade another promotion and leave with its gold.
Tonight, they immediately attempt to add the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship.
Divine Dominion has controlled the division through overwhelming strength. Megan Bayne and Lena Kross are larger than the Sisters of Sin and would hold a significant advantage in a traditional tag match.
The No Disqualification stipulation changes that balance.
Hart and Blue are most dangerous when weapons, interference and chaos replace structure. They do not need to overpower Divine Dominion. They need to create an environment where the champions cannot rely entirely on their physical advantage.
Mercedes’ association with Bayne and Kross also connects the match to All In. Mercedes has attempted to surround herself with enough power to control the division before receiving her championship opportunity.
If the Sisters of Sin win, Triangle of Madness will control the AEW Women’s World Championship, Artist of STARDOM Championship and AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship.
That would create the strongest possible image before Thekla defends against Willow on Sunday. It would also weaken Mercedes’ alliance before she faces the Redemption winner at Wembley.
Collision continued building Ospreay’s transformation when he faced his longtime friend and training partner Adam Brooks.
Ospreay did not simply defeat Brooks with one spectacular finishing move. He continued striking him until the referee stopped the match.
That finish showed that Moxley’s message had already affected him. Ospreay was willing to cross the emotional boundary created by friendship and continue attacking until victory became unavoidable.
The Young Bucks responded by challenging Ospreay and Moxley for Redemption.
Matt and Nick Jackson believe Ospreay’s connection to the Death Riders could make him dangerous to Omega. Their concern may be genuine, but it also carries some hypocrisy considering their own history with Omega, Don Callis and several morally questionable versions of The Elite.
Moxley accepted the challenge because he sees the Bucks as another test Ospreay must pass.
Tonight places Omega directly beside Ospreay and Moxley against Brian Cage, Hechicero and Jake Doyle. The Don Callis Family gives the three men a common enemy, but the more important conflict will be standing in their own corner.
Does Ospreay follow Omega’s direction or Moxley’s? Does Moxley encourage Ospreay to continue attacking after the match? Does Omega begin seeing the same changes that have concerned the Young Bucks?
The six-man tag should not end with the three stars celebrating together as though none of those questions exist. Omega needs to leave Nashville less certain about the man preparing to challenge him at Wembley.
Collision also completed most of the Redemption card.
Cage and Copeland challenged Claudio and PAC after surviving Garcia and Yuta. Hikaru Shida retained the TBS Championship against Queen Aminata by using the ropes and then continued attacking her until Maya World made the save.
Maya’s intervention earned her a championship opportunity Sunday.
Shida’s actions represented an actual character change rather than meaningless cheating. She has spent years being presented as one of AEW’s most honorable and dependable champions. Her willingness to steal the victory and attack Aminata afterward showed that keeping the championship may now matter more to her than maintaining that reputation.
Chris Jericho announced that the Painmaker would return against Tommaso Ciampa, while Ciampa demanded that their Beach Break rematch become No Holds Barred.
Jericho is treating the Painmaker like the most violent weapon available from his past. Ciampa’s argument is that his violence is not a costume or temporary personality. He does not care which version of Jericho appears because he already believes the current man is no longer capable of stopping him.
Bandido retained the ROH World Championship against Adam Priest before turning his attention toward Fletcher, while Mark Davis attacked Andrade ahead of their National Championship match.
Collision also set tonight’s singles match between Jay White and Clark Connors.
White returned to find himself pulled back into a war connected to the Bullet Club world he once controlled. David Finlay leads The Dogs and represents the faction that moved forward after White was forced out. Connors is one of the men who helped build that new identity.
Facing Connors allows White to begin fighting through Finlay’s group without giving away the larger singles match immediately.
This is also White’s first AEW singles match since March 2025. He cannot return only to become another body in repeated faction brawls. Tonight needs to remind everyone that White remains capable of moving back into AEW’s singles championship picture once the war with The Dogs is finished.
Redemption currently features Omega defending the AEW World Championship against Knight, Thekla defending the Women’s World Championship against Willow, Cage and Copeland defending the World Tag Team Championship against Claudio and PAC, Fletcher defending the International Championship against Bandido, Davis defending the National Championship against Andrade and Shida defending the TBS Championship against Maya.
Moxley and Ospreay will also face the Young Bucks, while the Painmaker meets Ciampa in a No Holds Barred match.
That is a strong card on paper.
The concern is that several matches already feel like devices being used to move AEW toward All In. Omega is expected to reach Wembley with the World Championship. Ospreay’s attention is divided between the Bucks and Omega. The winner of Thekla and Willow immediately moves toward Mercedes.
Using one pay-per-view to build the next is not automatically bad. The problem begins when the destination becomes so obvious that the matches directly in front of it feel secondary.

Final Thoughts
Tonight’s Dynamite is not being sold through a long list of matches. It is being sold through consequences.
Kevin Knight’s TNT Championship defense must change the way he enters Sunday’s match with Omega. Omega, Ospreay and Moxley need to expose the instability underneath their temporary alliance. The Sisters of Sin and Divine Dominion need to alter the balance of power surrounding Thekla, Willow and Mercedes.
Jay White also needs a meaningful singles return instead of another match swallowed by faction interference.
Last week’s Dynamite and Collision did an effective job assembling Redemption while keeping Omega against Ospreay at the center of All In. Triangle of Madness’s STARDOM championship victory also gave AEW’s women’s division a legitimate international development rather than another disconnected crossover appearance.
The danger is that AEW becomes so focused on Wembley Stadium that Redemption feels decided before Sunday arrives.
Tonight does not need several surprise appearances or a closing scene filled with everyone on the pay-per-view card fighting at once. It needs clarity. Knight must look like a credible threat to Omega. Thekla’s growing championship empire must matter. Ospreay’s relationship with Moxley must create genuine concern.
Handle those stories properly, and tonight can turn Redemption into the event where the road to All In becomes more dangerous and unpredictable.
Fail to do so, and Sunday will feel like an expensive bridge between two shows AEW has already decided are more important.
