TNA iMPACT October 8, 2026 Preview: Hardys Get Their Rematch, Elayna Black Challenges M by Elegance

TNA iMPACT puts two championships on the line tonight, three days before Bound For Glory, and both defenses come with trouble attached. The Hardys finally get their rematch against The Nemeths while Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw wait for them Sunday. M by Elegance faces Elayna Black with The Elegance Brand banned from ringside, following an argument with Heather by Elegance that helped get them both eliminated on NXT. Xia Brookside and Indi Hartwell also bring their fight back from NXT tonight. Add Order 4’s breakup and The System’s attack on Ricky Sosa, and the go-home show already has enough unfinished business. Tonight’s TNA iMPACT airs at 9 p.m. ET on AMC, AMC+ and TNA+.

Here is everything advertised for tonight’s show.

● The Nemeths (c) vs. The Hardys (TNA World Tag Team Championship)

● M by Elegance (c) vs. Elayna Black (TNA Knockouts Television Championship; The Elegance Brand banned from ringside)

● KC Navarro vs. Fabian Aichner

● Frankie Kazarian, Trey Miguel, Bear Bronson & Elijah vs. AJ Francis, Brian Myers, The Home Town Man & Joe Alonzo (Call Your Shot Gauntlet Advantage Match)

● TNA Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside and Indi Hartwell deliver their final words before Bound For Glory

● TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Allie & Kiera Hogan in action

The Hardys’ championship match tonight comes at an awkward point in their feud with Syx. Last week, Sawyer and Shaw explained their attack by calling TNA rotten and putting Matt and Jeff on their chopping block. The Hardys answered with a No Disqualification Falls Count Anywhere challenge for Bound For Glory. When they approached the ring, the lights went out and Syx disappeared.

The Hardys are comfortable with this kind of presentation, and a fight that can go anywhere suits both teams. The disappearing act was the least interesting part of the segment. Sawyer and Shaw had finally spoken for themselves, then ended their first major explanation with a trick viewers have seen plenty of times. Sunday is where their threats have to survive an actual wrestling match.

Tonight, Matt and Jeff can win back the titles they lost at Lockdown. That deserves a proper match, especially after the wait for their contractual rematch. Syx interfering would be an obvious way to continue the feud, but it would also turn a championship opportunity into another attack angle. The Hardys have already been attacked. There is more to gain from letting them fight for the belts and giving The Nemeths a defense worth remembering.

Nic Nemeth’s schedule makes that defense more interesting. He is defending the tag championships tonight before Leon Slater challenges for his World Championship Sunday. Ryan Nemeth is also in Sunday’s six-way for the vacant X-Division Championship. A rough match tonight could leave both brothers paying for it in separate title fights.

Slater took care of Joe Alonzo quickly last week, finishing him with the Swanton 450 after Alonzo spent considerably longer talking than wrestling. Nemeth then backed away from Slater and abandoned his championship belts at commentary. Slater holding those belts was a better advertisement for the main event than the squash itself.

The no-contact restriction has let Nemeth antagonize Slater while avoiding the fight. Slater has already surrendered the X-Division Championship through Option C to get this opportunity. That is why Sunday matters beyond the possibility of another good match: he gave up a championship he held to pursue one he has never won. Nemeth can lose the top spot in TNA. Slater can leave without either title.

Order 4’s collapse gave last week’s TNA iMPACT its strongest character work. Before The Great Hands reunited, Jason Hotch confronted John Skyler about staying with Ali when Hotch left, only to walk out once Mila Moore did. Skyler explained that Order 4 had been his family and that he had found someone he cared about in Moore. His decision to leave finally had a reason beyond suddenly realizing Ali was a bad boss.

The reunion did not produce a win. Ali forced Skyler to submit, then kept the hold applied after the bell until Hotch intervened. The bigger development followed when Tasha Steelz directed Special Agent Zero to attack Ali. Zero also took out Hotch, Skyler and Moore. Steelz held up the International Championship while the people Ali had tried to control were scattered around the ring.

That ending gave Steelz something she had been missing: authority. She could get Zero to act, and Ali could no longer assume his bodyguard would obey him. It also left Hotch and Skyler with their own grievances against Zero. This was a breakup with several consequences, and Santino Marella’s Order 4 Way for the championship followed naturally from the backstage fight.

Ali enters Sunday defending against three men who know how he operates. Hotch has already proved he can take the title from him. Skyler has stopped accepting the treatment that kept him in the group, and Zero has become a challenger instead of protection. Steelz’s influence over Zero adds another problem Ali cannot solve by shouting an order.

The Knockouts stories also picked up outside TNA, but their starting point was last Thursday. Indi Hartwell defeated Zoey Serrano by disqualification when Serrano brought in a chair. Serrano kept attacking afterward, and Xia Brookside added a championship-belt shot. Hartwell got the recorded victory; Brookside got to leave her challenger beaten down before Bound For Glory.

The finish protected Serrano and gave Brookside another cheap way to hurt Hartwell. Brookside is doing a convincing job of making people want to see her lose. Hartwell’s response is the part that matters now, particularly after their next confrontation happened in her old NXT home.

Meanwhile, Elayna Black had already earned tonight’s Television Championship match by beating Jada Stone, Harley Hudson and Gabby Forza in the September 24 four-way. Last week, Black challenged M’s claim to be the centerpiece of The Elegance Brand, brought Heather into the argument, and questioned whether M could win without her allies. M agreed to face her alone. That is how the ringside ban became part of tonight’s match.

Both programs then carried into Tuesday’s 20-woman NXT battle royal. Hartwell, Brookside, M and Heather were the four TNA Knockouts competing for a shot at Kelani Jordan’s NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc.

M and Heather initially worked together to eliminate Arianna Grace. M then tried to throw Heather out, but Heather landed on the apron and confronted her partner. Thea Hail took advantage by sending M into Heather, knocking Heather to the floor. Hail then clotheslined M over the top rope. Heather was eliminated first, followed by M. Their attempt to work together had fallen apart because M tried to get rid of her own partner.

Brookside lasted longer and helped Lizzy Rain, Thea Hail and the masked “Lady Shani” eliminate Reina Volcan. Hartwell also worked alongside Zaria during the match. Later, Hartwell threw Brookside out, only for Brookside to retaliate from the floor and pull Hartwell over the top rope. Neither woman reached the finish. Wren Sinclair, disguised as Lady Shani, ultimately won and earned the Halloween Havoc match against Jordan.

For tonight’s TNA iMPACT, the relevant fallout is clear. Brookside had help leaving Hartwell laid out last Thursday, but Hartwell eliminated her when they met in the battle royal. Brookside answered by ruining Hartwell’s opportunity after losing her own. Their final words tonight follow that exchange, with Hartwell having something to throw back at a champion who has spent the build trying to humiliate her.

M’s situation is different. Black had questioned her ability to win alone before NXT, and M then showed how quickly her partnership with Heather could unravel over an individual title opportunity. That does not establish a permanent split in The Elegance Brand. It does make M’s boasting harder to take seriously heading into a defense where Heather cannot stand beside her.

Black has done the work to earn this match and talked M into accepting the restriction. The championship defense should answer the challenge she actually made. M beating Black on her own would back up her claims. Black winning would give her first TNA championship. Having someone find a way around the ban would waste the most worthwhile part of the setup.

Allie and Kiera Hogan are also advertised in action tonight. Last week’s encounter with Rosemary left Allie questioning what she was seeing and hearing, with Rosemary warning about snakes in the grass. The uncertainty over Rosemary has followed this championship team for a while. Allie and Hogan wrestling gives the tag division some attention, but the mystery is overdue for an explanation that goes further than another warning.

BDE finally got his first TNA singles win last week, rolling up Mr. Elegance to secure the final place in Sunday’s X-Division Championship match. The crowd celebrated with him, and Rich Swann shared the moment. Mr. Elegance shoved The Personal Concierge afterward, adding to a bad stretch for a group that has been arguing in more than one division.

BDE’s victory had a clear reward, which made it easier to care about than another attempt to end his losing run. Sunday puts him against Cedric Alexander, KC Navarro, Fabian Aichner, Swann and Ryan Nemeth. Tonight’s Navarro–Aichner match gives two of those contenders a direct meeting before the six-way. They already have their places, so the match can show which one can beat the other without the rest of the field getting involved.

Sosa and Alexander had the best match on last week’s show, with Alexander getting the win. Sosa stayed competitive until The System intervened. Brian Myers and Bear Bronson drew him into the ringside action, Alisha Edwards distracted the referee, and Eddie Edwards hit a low blow. Alexander followed with the Lumbar Check.

Eddie was returning the favor after Sosa had interfered in his match with Elijah the previous week. That gives their Bound For Glory match a straightforward grudge. Sosa has shown he can wrestle at this level; beating Eddie would let him move past being the promising newcomer who gets close and then gets overwhelmed by the faction. The interference has protected him. A win would advance him.

Tonight’s random-draw eight-man tag determines the No. 1 and No. 20 entries in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet. That is a useful reason for the match to happen. Entering first means surviving the arrivals of everyone behind you; entering last offers a much shorter route through the field. The draw has even put System partners Bronson and Myers on opposite teams, so their usual alliance does not explain the lineup.

Kazarian’s involvement follows his training session with Avery Styles. Avery caught him in a wristlock, Kazarian used a supposed phone call to get free, then tossed him over the top rope. Kazarian’s lesson was to keep watching everybody, including him. That little bit of dishonesty made their relationship more interesting than a veteran simply telling a newcomer he has potential. Avery is preparing for his TNA debut Sunday, and his trainer is also a competitor in the match.

AJ Francis could use a better final impression than last week’s loss to Moose. They were arguing over who represents TNA, then the match became a vehicle for Deuce, the Dude Wipes mascot, to help Moose win. There was worthwhile wrestling before the sponsor gag took over. The ending made the entire “Face of the Franchise” argument feel disposable. Tonight at least gives Francis an advantage to fight for that has something to do with winning a championship.

TNA Hall of Fame Class of 2026

Before Bound For Glory begins Sunday, TNA will honor three names who helped establish the company’s identity. The induction ceremony starts at 4 p.m. ET on October 11 at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

  • ODB: A four-time TNA Knockouts Champion whose roughhouse style and unmistakable personality helped distinguish the division during its early years. Her induction was announced at Rebellion after she teamed with Mickie James and Taryn Terrell against The Elegance Brand.
  • The Amazing Red: A three-time X-Division Champion and former NWA World Tag Team Champion alongside Jerry Lynn. Red’s speed, inventive offense and influence on the wrestlers who followed made him an essential part of the X-Division’s reputation. His induction was announced at Slammiversary.
  • Konnan: A member of 3 Live Kru and the commanding voice behind LAX. His work with the faction helped give TNA’s tag division some of its most memorable rivalries, while his later partnership with Santana and Ortiz introduced LAX to another generation. His induction was also announced at Slammiversary.

Final Thoughts

The title matches are enough to make tonight’s TNA iMPACT worth watching. I want to see whether M can back up her mouth without somebody bailing her out, and whether the Hardys can get their titles back before Syx gets another shot at them. TNA has spent enough time setting those fights up. Let the matches carry the show.
