TNA iMPACT! delivered its final stop before Bound For Glory tonight from the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas, with The Nemeths escaping their World Tag Team Championship rematch against The Hardys, Shayna Baszler being revealed as Zoey Serrano’s partner for Sunday, and Mustafa Ali officially losing what remained of Order 4. The October 8 episode also saw Joe Alonzo steal the No. 20 entry in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet, Elayna Black come within seconds of capturing the Knockouts Television Championship, and Fabian Aichner build momentum ahead of the vacant X-Division Championship scramble. With Nic Nemeth preparing to defend the World Championship against Leon Slater, Xia Brookside facing Indi Hartwell, and several personal rivalries approaching their conclusion, TNA had one final opportunity to make Sunday’s biggest matches feel essential. Tonight’s episode delivered several effective developments, although the wrestling itself wasn’t always as compelling as the stories surrounding it.
Here are the full results
- TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Allie & Kiera Hogan defeated Alex Gracia & Ki Vibez

- Fabian Aichner defeated KC Navarro
- The Nemeths (c) defeated The Hardys (TNA World Tag Team Championship)
Breakdowns & Reactions
The Hardys, The Nemeths and Leon Slater Open the Show
Matt and Jeff Hardy opened tonight’s episode promising to reclaim the World Tag Team Championships they lost to Nic and Ryan Nemeth at Lockdown.
Matt acknowledged that syX remained a threat heading into Bound For Glory, but insisted that the brothers would first take care of the Nemeths. Jeff went further, challenging syX to confront them.
Instead, Nic and Ryan interrupted.
Ryan criticized The Hardys for looking beyond their championship rematch, while Nic claimed that neither The Hardys nor Leon Slater would accomplish anything against him.
Slater entered and reminded Nic that their no-contact agreement prevented them from fighting before Sunday. However, Ryan wasn’t protected by that restriction.
Slater promised to become the youngest TNA World Champion and made it clear that Nic’s arrogance wouldn’t save him at Bound For Glory.
The confrontation worked because it connected two championship rivalries without losing their individual stakes. Nic had the opportunity to lose one championship tonight and another Sunday.
However, the opening also exposed how heavily TNA has relied on Nic dismissing Slater rather than showing genuine concern about the challenger.
Grade: B
What worked
- The Hardys established their championship intentions.
- Slater’s appearance connected the World Championship to the tag team rivalry.
- The no-contact restriction remained relevant.
What didn’t work
- Much of the exchange repeated previous arguments.
- Slater needed a stronger final confrontation with Nic.
Allie & Kiera Hogan vs. Alex Gracia & Ki Vibez
The Knockouts World Tag Team Champions entered following a backstage confrontation with Zoey Serrano that required security to intervene.
Hogan opened aggressively, grounding Gracia before Allie entered and attacked Vibez with clotheslines and a Thesz press.
Gracia briefly turned the momentum by attacking Allie while the referee was distracted.
Hogan eventually received the tag and overwhelmed Vibez with a corner attack and sliding dropkick.
Gracia attempted to break up the pinfall but accidentally struck her own partner. Allie followed with a Codebreaker, and Hogan finished Vibez with Face the Music.
Afterward, the champions challenged Serrano to find a partner and face them at Bound For Glory.
The match accomplished its purpose without doing much more. Hogan and Allie looked dominant, but the challengers never presented a serious threat.
Grade: C+
What worked
- The champions looked convincing.
- The finish was decisive.
- The post-match challenge advanced Sunday’s championship picture.
What didn’t work
- The match was too short to develop much competitive tension.
- The challengers were largely there to establish the champions’ momentum.
Call Your Shot Gauntlet Advantage Match
AJ Francis, Brian Myers, The Home Town Man & Joe Alonzo defeated Frankie Kazarian, Trey Miguel, Bear Bronson & Elijah
The eight-man tag carried an important stipulation. The wrestler scoring the winning fall would enter Sunday’s Call Your Shot Gauntlet at No. 20, while the wrestler taking the fall would enter first.
Kazarian and Myers opened before Bronson entered against his System teammate.
Rather than wrestle Myers, Bronson tagged Miguel into the match.
Miguel immediately increased the pace, sending Myers outside and following with a dive. The action quickly spread around ringside, culminating in The Home Town Man diving onto the assembled wrestlers.
Elijah later controlled Myers with chops before Francis interfered and helped his team isolate him.
Francis used his size to overpower Elijah, countering an attempted rope-walk maneuver with an Alabama Slam.
Kazarian eventually entered and attacked Alonzo, who became involved in a confrontation with Avery Styles at ringside.
Styles climbed the ropes and delivered a Spiral Tap onto Alonzo while the referee was distracted.
The closing sequence featured several rapid exchanges, including Miguel countering Francis with a DDT and Kazarian connecting with a springboard cutter.
Francis eventually caught Miguel with the TFL, but Alonzo tagged himself in and stole the pinfall.
Alonzo secured the No. 20 entry, while Miguel must enter at No. 1.
The finish was the most important part of the match. Francis did the damage, but Alonzo claimed the reward.
That made the outcome more interesting than another routine multi-person tag match and gave Sunday’s gauntlet an immediate storyline.
Grade: B
What worked
- The stipulation created meaningful consequences.
- Bronson refusing to fight Myers added character development.
- Avery Styles’ Spiral Tap was a memorable moment.
- Alonzo stealing the victory suited his character.
What didn’t work
- The action became crowded during the closing stretch.
- Several signature moves happened too quickly to carry much individual weight.
The Righteous Attempt to Recruit Harley Hudson
Vincent and Dutch continued their efforts to recruit Harley Hudson, suggesting that joining The Righteous could help her in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet.
Hudson rejected the idea that she needed their protection.
The exchange kept the recruitment storyline moving, but it didn’t produce a major change.
Grade: C
What worked
- The Righteous maintained their unsettling presentation.
- Hudson showed independence rather than immediately accepting their offer.
What didn’t work
- The segment offered little progression.
- The recruitment angle still needs a stronger reason for audiences to invest.
Order 4 Holds Its Final Meeting
Mustafa Ali gathered Jason Hotch, John Skyler, Tasha Steelz and Special Agent 0 for one final meeting ahead of Sunday’s International Championship four-way.
Santino Marella’s no-contact restriction prevented another physical confrontation.
Ali offered his former allies one last opportunity to return to the faction.
Hotch rejected him first.
He confronted Ali over involving his wife and daughter in their rivalry, explaining the effect the situation had on his family. Hotch surrendered his Order 4 badge and made it clear that their relationship was finished.
Skyler followed.
He explained how much he had sacrificed for Ali, but his relationship with Mila Moore had changed his priorities. Skyler no longer saw any reason to continue following someone who treated loyalty as an obligation rather than something to be earned.
He also surrendered his badge.
Steelz then spoke about the sacrifices she and Agent 0 had made to protect Ali. Both abandoned the group.
Ali responded by insulting his former allies and promising to defeat Hotch, Skyler and Agent 0 at Bound For Glory.
The segment was one of tonight’s strongest because the faction’s collapse has been developing for weeks.
Hotch’s issues became personal when Ali involved his family. Skyler’s loyalty deteriorated as his relationship with Moore grew more important. Steelz and Agent 0 eventually recognized that protecting Ali came at their own expense.
Ali created the opposition he now faces.
The International Championship four-way has a much stronger foundation because each challenger has a different reason for wanting to take the title from him.
Grade: A-
What worked
- Each former member had a distinct motivation.
- Hotch’s family involvement gave the segment emotional weight.
- Skyler’s relationship with Mila Moore remained relevant.
- Ali’s refusal to accept responsibility reinforced his character.
What didn’t work
- The breakup had already been established through earlier confrontations.
- The meeting formalized the collapse rather than introducing a completely new direction.
M by Elegance (c) vs. Elayna Black — Knockouts Television Championship
Elayna Black finally received her opportunity to challenge M by Elegance without the rest of The Elegance Brand interfering.
M attempted to frustrate Black early with mat wrestling, slaps and repeated retreats outside.
Black answered with a headscissors takedown before both women began targeting each other’s hands around the steel steps.
M gained control with a suplex from the steps onto the floor and continued attacking Black’s back.
Inside the ring, the champion maintained pressure with holds, strikes and a dropkick while Black was trapped against the ropes.
Black eventually rallied with clotheslines, a knee strike and a double stomp.
M escaped Black Out and answered with a superkick before connecting with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall.
The champion then missed a moonsault, allowing Black to regain control.
With the ten-minute limit approaching, M attempted to escape and run out the clock.
Black caught her with Black Out and covered her, but the time limit expired before the referee could complete the count.
M retained the championship.
Black requested five additional minutes. M refused.
The finish protected Black without taking the championship from M, but it also denied the audience a decisive conclusion after the challenger finally received a fair opportunity.
That is a difficult balance. Black looked capable of winning, but the rivalry remains unresolved because of another technicality.
Grade: B-
What worked
- The ringside ban removed the usual interference.
- Black received a convincing near-victory.
- M’s attempt to escape as time expired suited her character.
What didn’t work
- The finish postponed a decisive championship result.
- The ending relied more on the time limit than a definitive wrestling outcome.
Ricky Sosa and Eddie Edwards Exchange Final Messages
Ricky Sosa addressed the importance of facing Eddie Edwards at Bound For Glory, describing it as the biggest match of his career.
Sosa acknowledged Edwards’ history but made it clear that respect wouldn’t prevent him from trying to win.
Edwards responded by questioning whether Sosa belonged at his level.
The exchange reinforced the established conflict between an ambitious young wrestler and an experienced veteran who refuses to treat him as an equal.
Grade: B-
What worked
- Sosa explained why the match matters to his career.
- Edwards maintained his dismissive attitude.
What didn’t work
- The exchange added little beyond their existing rivalry.
Fabian Aichner vs. KC Navarro
Fabian Aichner and KC Navarro met before Sunday’s six-way match for the vacant X-Division Championship, with Cedric Alexander joining commentary.
Navarro initially used his speed to frustrate Aichner, sending him outside.
However, Aichner caught Navarro during a dive attempt and delivered a suplex onto the apron.
Aichner followed with strikes, holds and another suplex, using his strength to control the match.
Navarro eventually rallied with a hurricanrana and the 305 before delivering a splash for a near fall.
Aichner survived, countered with a backbreaker and finished Navarro with Hasta La Vista.
The victory established Aichner as a legitimate threat in Sunday’s scramble.
His power gives him an advantage against several smaller opponents, although a six-way match presents a different challenge than controlling one opponent.
Grade: B-
What worked
- Aichner’s offense looked convincing.
- Navarro’s comeback created a competitive finishing stretch.
- The result gave Aichner momentum before Sunday.
What didn’t work
- The match did little to develop the remaining scramble participants.
- The outcome was more useful for positioning than storytelling.
Shayna Baszler Revealed as Zoey Serrano’s Partner
Zoey Serrano answered the challenge from Allie and Kiera Hogan by revealing her Bound For Glory partner through a video call.
That partner was Shayna Baszler.
Baszler accepted the challenge, immediately changing the expectations surrounding Sunday’s Knockouts World Tag Team Championship match.
Serrano needed a credible partner after repeatedly clashing with the champions, and Baszler brings an established reputation for technical wrestling, submissions and physical punishment.
However, there is an important distinction between having two dangerous wrestlers and having an effective tag team.
Allie and Hogan have established chemistry. Serrano and Baszler have the element of surprise, but they must demonstrate that their individual abilities translate into a successful partnership.
The announcement gave Sunday’s championship match significantly more appeal.
Grade: A-
What worked
- Baszler’s reveal delivered a major surprise.
- Serrano gained a credible partner.
- The Knockouts tag team championship match immediately became more interesting.
What didn’t work
- The team has not competed together in TNA.
- The announcement came late in the buildup, leaving limited time to develop the partnership.
Xia Brookside and Indi Hartwell Deliver Their Final Words
Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside and challenger Indi Hartwell addressed their Bound For Glory match through a video package.
Hartwell reflected on failing to win the championship at last year’s event despite having family travel to support her.
She explained that the disappointment motivated her pursuit of another opportunity.
Brookside dismissed Hartwell’s previous failure and questioned whether she had the ability to become champion.
Hartwell accused Brookside of betraying friendships and relying on questionable tactics.
Brookside responded by insisting that she had already proved herself and would embarrass Hartwell on Sunday.
The segment gave Hartwell’s challenge an important personal dimension.
She isn’t simply chasing another championship opportunity. She’s trying to correct a failure that has stayed with her for a year.
Brookside’s arrogance made that motivation more effective.
Grade: B+
What worked
- Hartwell’s previous Bound For Glory disappointment provided meaningful history.
- Brookside’s hostility reinforced her character.
- The video package gave the championship match a clear emotional foundation.
What didn’t work
- The rivalry still relies heavily on verbal accusations.
- Hartwell’s recent injury adds uncertainty to Sunday’s match.
The Nemeths (c) vs. The Hardys — TNA World Tag Team Championship
The main event brought Matt and Jeff Hardy back into championship contention against Nic and Ryan Nemeth, with Leon Slater joining commentary ahead of his World Championship match against Nic on Sunday.
Matt opened against Ryan, using his strength to gain control before tagging Jeff.
The Hardys worked together early, connecting with familiar double-team offense and repeatedly forcing the champions outside.
The Nemeths eventually isolated Matt.
Nic attacked him from behind, while Ryan used a neckbreaker and holds to prevent him from reaching Jeff.
Matt finally created an opening with Side Effect, allowing Jeff to enter.
Jeff attacked both champions, connected with a leg drop and elbow drop, and followed with a variation of Twist of Fate against Nic.
The Hardys delivered Poetry in Motion, but Ryan broke up Jeff’s pinfall attempt.
The Nemeths answered with Hollywood Ending and Danger Zone, only for Jeff to survive.
Matt returned and delivered Twist of Fate to both brothers, setting Jeff up for the Swanton Bomb.
Then the lights began flickering.
The Hardys anticipated an attack from syX and temporarily abandoned their offensive momentum to prepare for a confrontation.
However, syX never appeared.
Jeff returned to the top rope, but the distraction had already disrupted the match.
Nic caught Jeff in a cradle and secured the pinfall to retain the World Tag Team Championships.
The result protected The Hardys while keeping the championships with the Nemeths.
However, the finish also meant another important match was decided by outside circumstances rather than a clean conclusion.
The post-match developments were even more significant.
Nic attempted to provoke Slater into violating their no-contact agreement.
Before Slater could respond, the lights went out, and he was attacked.
The lights went out again, and syX appeared in the ring to attack The Hardys.
Nic watched from the entrance ramp as the assault continued.
The closing sequence effectively connected Sunday’s World Championship match to the Hardys’ Falls Count Anywhere confrontation with syX.
It also left two important questions.
Can The Hardys overcome opponents who have repeatedly manipulated their attention? And will Slater be physically ready to challenge Nic after tonight’s attack?
The main event delivered the strongest overall combination of wrestling, consequences and Bound For Glory development.
Grade: B+
What worked
- The Hardys and Nemeths delivered a competitive championship match.
- Jeff surviving the champions’ double-team offense created a strong near fall.
- The syX distraction connected directly to Sunday’s rivalry.
- The post-match attack increased the stakes for Slater and The Hardys.
What didn’t work
- The distraction finish prevented a decisive conclusion.
- The Hardys’ decision to abandon their offensive momentum was predictable.
- Slater’s final appearance before his championship match ended with him being attacked rather than gaining an advantage.
syX Leave Their Final Warning
The closing assault reinforced the threat syX pose to The Hardys.
Their ability to distract the brothers without appearing during the match cost them the opportunity to regain the championships.
The subsequent attack demonstrated that the psychological games were only part of their strategy.
The attack on Slater also created uncertainty around Nic’s World Championship defense, even though Nic did not physically attack his challenger.
The segment gave Sunday’s two major rivalries a stronger final image, although TNA relied on another blackout attack to accomplish it.
Grade: B+
What worked
- syX directly influenced the championship outcome.
- The Hardys have a clear reason to seek revenge.
- Slater’s attack added another complication to Sunday’s World Championship match.
What didn’t work
- The blackout presentation has become familiar.
- Another post-match assault risked repeating previous episodes.
Best Match of the Night
The Nemeths vs. The Hardys — TNA World Tag Team Championship
The main event was tonight’s strongest match because it combined competitive wrestling with consequences for two of Bound For Glory’s biggest rivalries.
The Hardys came close to reclaiming their championships, particularly after Matt delivered Twist of Fate to both Nemeth brothers.
However, syX’s distraction changed the outcome and allowed Nic to escape with the titles.
The finish wasn’t clean, but it served the larger story. The Hardys now enter Sunday with another reason to seek revenge, while Nic remains a double champion heading into his World Championship defense against Leon Slater.

Final Thoughts
Tonight’s TNA iMPACT! was a better storytelling show than a wrestling show, and that’s not necessarily a problem three days before Bound For Glory.
The Nemeths retaining the World Tag Team Championships kept Nic’s double-champion status intact, but the distraction finish also reinforced how much outside interference has influenced the rivalry.
Order 4’s final meeting delivered the strongest character development of the night. Mustafa Ali has spent weeks pushing away the people who protected him, and Sunday’s International Championship match now has a clear personal foundation.
Shayna Baszler’s announcement was the biggest surprise. Her partnership with Zoey Serrano gives the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship match considerably more intrigue than it had entering tonight.
The Knockouts Television Championship match was less satisfying. Elayna Black finally received a fair opportunity, only for the time limit to deny her a decisive result.
TNA has assembled a Bound For Glory card with several compelling stories. However, the company has also leaned heavily on distractions, interference and unresolved finishes to reach this point.
Sunday needs to deliver the payoffs that tonight deliberately postponed. Another round of inconclusive endings would make the buildup harder to justify.

I’m the quiet one until the bell rings then I’ve got takes. I live for WWE NXT and TNA, I want every promotion to succeed, and I will absolutely roast the bad decisions on sight (because someone has to). Anime taught me to respect long-term storytelling; wrestling taught me that sometimes the plan is “we panicked” and called it “unpredictable.” The Miz got me into all of this, so yeah I appreciate confidence, commitment, and the art of talking like you’re already the main event. Now I bring that same energy to the page as the main writer for Late Night Crew Wrestling because if you’re not here to be must-see and tell the truth, why are you here?!
