AEW Announces Multi-year Media Rights Deal With Warner Bros. Discovery

All Elite Wrestling announced via Variety just hours before their fifth anniversary edition of AEW Dynamite that they have reached a new multi year media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery.

Rumors have been swirling for months that it was uncertain if AEW would remain on TBS & TNT. There were also rumors of a new show called Shockwave to replace Rampage.

Variety was the one to break the news of the new media deal and as of this writing the financial terms haven’t been reported yet. The new deal will see both Dynamite and Collision remain on TBS and TNT respectively and for the first time ever both shows will simulcast and be available on demand on the streaming service MAX for U.S. subscribers beginning in January 2025.

Here is what the AEW CEO, GM and Head of Creative Tony Khan had to say about this massive announcement:

“We are honored to announce the extension of our incredible partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery.” “This extension continues the tradition of iconic wrestling events broadcast on TBS and TNT, while also establishing a new legacy for AEW through weekly live streams on Max for years to come. We thank David Zaslav, Kathleen Finch and everyone at WBD for their tireless support of All Elite Wrestling since its inception, as well as the AEW fans, talent and staff that helped make this possible.”

Stated earlier there are no financial reports but the deal according to sources is worth upward of $150 million. The deal also states that new liner programming and AEW PPVs will be on MAX with PPVs available to stream in mid 2025 at a discounted price.
