AEW Dynamite Results – July 9, 2025: Turmoil Erupts Before All In, Megan Bayne Secures #2 Spot in Women’s Casino Gauntlet, Talky Talk Descends into a Brawly Brawl

Last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite wasn’t just a follow-up to the historic 300th edition—it was a volatile, emotionally charged final stop before All In Texas, a pay-per-view that promises to reshape the very fabric of All Elite Wrestling. With the past, present, and future of the company colliding inside and outside the ring, chaos didn’t just reign—it was welcomed.

Things kicked off in glamorously combustible fashion as “Timeless” Toni Storm and “The CEO” Mercedes Monè met center stage for their final face-to-face before Saturday’s AEW Women’s World Championship match. Storm, in all her old Hollywood bravado and dramatic wit, seemed unfazed by Monè’s attempt to extend a civil olive branch—or a champagne flute. The two icons kept it classy…until they didn’t. Monè’s seemingly peaceful toast ended in betrayal—not from her, but from Storm, who tried to blindside The CEO with a Monè Maker of her own. But Mercedes saw it coming, sidestepped the attack, and left the Timeless One grasping at air as she scurried away in a huff. With legacy and dominance on the line, can Monè finally cement her AEW ascent by dethroning Storm, or will the “Timeless” era continue to reign supreme over the silver screen and squared circle?

Elsewhere, Megan Bayne continued her warpath through the AEW women’s division, annihilating the competition in a high-stakes Fatal Four-Way to claim the #2 entry in the Women’s Casino Gauntlet at All In. With Kris Statlander already holding the coveted #1 spot, a renewed rivalry is brewing, and the question looms—can either woman overcome the odds of the Gauntlet to write their name into history? Is the top of the deck the best position, or just a bigger target?

On the men’s side, Ricochet’s slow-burning transformation from high-flying sensation to calculated tactician continued as the Gates of Agony—Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun—officially joined forces with him, helping secure a victory and deliver a punishing post-match assault on Blake Christian. With the numbers now in his favor, Ricochet is playing chess while others are playing checkers—and All In could be where he finally cashes in.

But things turned dark when the Death Riders reminded the world that they don’t just fight—they hunt. Jon Moxley, already drenched in rage and gasoline thanks to his violently personal feud with Hangman Adam Page, made sure his message was loud, bloody, and clear. Last week, Page had left Moxley laying, putting a steel-toed exclamation point on a rivalry that’s blurred the lines between hatred and addiction. Last night, Moxley struck back in vintage Death Rider fashion—unhinged, unapologetic, and unpredictable. NJPW’s Gabe Kidd returned on behalf of the Death Riders, taking out Samoa Joe in a brutal statement. But the bigger war came moments later, when Hangman ambushed Moxley backstage, trading fists and fury in a chaotic brawl that spilled out into the arena. These two aren’t just trying to win at All In—they’re trying to end each other. The deeper question now: is this a match, or a final reckoning?

Meanwhile, Swerve Strickland might not wear the AEW World Championship around his waist—yet—but he still walks like the leader of a movement, and he made sure to leave his fingerprints all over the final frame of Dynamite. After The Young Bucks and The Death Riders picked up a chaotic win in eight man tag action, Swerve emerged with cold vengeance on his mind. While the EVPs celebrated in the ring, Strickland took a page from their own reckless playbook and destroyed their custom limo with heavy machinery—twisting steel and symbolism in one motion. As All In Texas approaches, the World Title scene may be shifting, but this is more than gold—this is a power struggle. With Will Ospreay aligned with Swerve, and the Bucks trying desperately to hold onto their legacy, could the foundation of AEW be shattered from the inside?

From beginning to end, this episode was less about conclusions and more about collision courses. All In Texas won’t just be a spectacle—it could be a reckoning. New alliances are forming, old wounds are being reopened, and the question hangs heavy in the Texas heat: can the stars of tomorrow survive the shadows of the past?
