Earlier today it was announced by now former WWE Superstar Cameron Grimes himself that he was released from the company.
Grimes real name Trevor Lee Caddell signed with WWE back in February of 2019 and made his NXT TV debut on the July 3rd edition of NXT defeating Swerve Strickland in the NXT Breakout Tournament.
He would go on to capture the Million Dollar Championship in a ladder match against LA Knight and the NXT North American Championship in a five way ladder match at NXT Stand and Deliver 2022.
He was then drafted to the SmackDown brand during the 2023 supplemental draft and just never got out of the blocks and found his footing.
His last televised match was a squash match against SmackDown’s newest signee, Bron Breakker.
Grimes has wrestled for many promotions such as PWG and TNA. It is in TNA that he is former X-Division and tag team champion.
You can checkout his interview with Ryan Satin on his Out of Character podcast where he talks about his wrestling career and how he got to WWE:

I’m the quiet one until the bell rings then I’ve got takes. I live for WWE NXT and TNA, I want every promotion to succeed, and I will absolutely roast the bad decisions on sight (because someone has to). Anime taught me to respect long-term storytelling; wrestling taught me that sometimes the plan is “we panicked” and called it “unpredictable.” The Miz got me into all of this, so yeah I appreciate confidence, commitment, and the art of talking like you’re already the main event. Now I bring that same energy to the page as the main writer for Late Night Crew Wrestling because if you’re not here to be must-see and tell the truth, why are you here?!
