Business just picked up BIG TIME in the AEW Women’s Division.
Tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite emanated from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts was entitled “Big Business.” The show got off to a red hot start with the much anticipated debut of former IWGP and six time WWE Women’s Champion, Mercedes Monè.
Monè, formerly known as Sasha Banks made headlines alongside SmackDown superstar Naomi when they were stripped of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship amidst their walk out back in May of 2022.
Since then Monè would go on to wrestle for Stardom and New Japan Pro Wrestling becoming the second ever IWGP Women’s Champion defeating inaugural champion Kairi Sane. This would come at Battle of the Valley 2023 after making her shocking debut at Wrestle Kingdom 17.
Tonight’s debut marks her first wrestling appearance since her ankle injury in a match against AEW star Willow to crown the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Champion and being spotted in the crowd at All In at Wembley Stadium.
The CEO has arrived in AEW so what does this mean for the state of the Women’s Division?

I’m the quiet one until the bell rings then I’ve got takes. I live for WWE NXT and TNA, I want every promotion to succeed, and I will absolutely roast the bad decisions on sight (because someone has to). Anime taught me to respect long-term storytelling; wrestling taught me that sometimes the plan is “we panicked” and called it “unpredictable.” The Miz got me into all of this, so yeah I appreciate confidence, commitment, and the art of talking like you’re already the main event. Now I bring that same energy to the page as the main writer for Late Night Crew Wrestling because if you’re not here to be must-see and tell the truth, why are you here?!
