It was announced today via Variety that WWE’s Saturday Night Main Event will be making its return on Saturday December 14th, 2024. The show will air on NBC and Peacock simultaneously at 8 p.m. ET.
The show will take place from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York. This special comes as part of the new five year media rights deal that both WWE and NBCUniversal signed. The deal officially kicked off with the season premiere of SmackDown on USA Network last Friday.
Saturday Night Main Event originally aired on NBC back in May of 1985. WWE revived the television series back in 2006 which ran until 2008. The specials will now air quarterly on both NBC and Peacock.

I’m the quiet one until the bell rings then I’ve got takes. I live for WWE NXT and TNA, I want every promotion to succeed, and I will absolutely roast the bad decisions on sight (because someone has to). Anime taught me to respect long-term storytelling; wrestling taught me that sometimes the plan is “we panicked” and called it “unpredictable.” The Miz got me into all of this, so yeah I appreciate confidence, commitment, and the art of talking like you’re already the main event. Now I bring that same energy to the page as the main writer for Late Night Crew Wrestling because if you’re not here to be must-see and tell the truth, why are you here?!
