TNA iMPACT returns tonight with ten days left before Bound For Glory and several stories that need more than another confrontation. Moose faces AJ Francis, Leon Slater and Indi Hartwell have opponents standing between them and their championship matches, and BDE gets the final opportunity to qualify for the vacant X-Division Championship. Mustafa Ali still holds the International Championship, but his control over Order 4 is slipping. Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw finally have names, contracts and an audience waiting for an explanation after their attack on The Hardys. With only two editions remaining before Sunday, October 11, in Tampa, tonight needs to give those developments consequences. TNA iMPACT airs tonight from the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio at 9 p.m. ET on AMC, AMC+ and TNA+.
Here is everything advertised for tonight’s show.
- Moose vs. AJ Francis.
- Leon Slater vs. Joe Alonzo.
- Indi Hartwell vs. Zoey Serrano.
- Ricky Sosa vs. Cedric Alexander.
- BDE vs. Mr. Elegance (Final qualifier for the six-way vacant TNA X-Division Championship match at Bound For Glory)
- TNA International Champion Mustafa Ali & Special Agent 0 vs. Jason Hotch & John Skyler.
- Syx (Joseph Sawyer & Samuel Shaw) speak following their reveal and attack on The Hardys.
Tonight is also expected to include a tribute to PAC, following his passing and TNA’s message of condolences.
Last week’s best work came when the wrestling supported the story. Ali, Hotch and Trey Miguel delivered the strongest example. Slater’s opening confrontation made him look alert and confident. Elsewhere, TNA leaned on familiar distractions, authority disputes and another beating for wrestlers already taking plenty of them.
Slater’s road to the World Championship began at Lockdown on August 23, when he defeated Alexander to regain the X-Division Championship and immediately surrendered it through Option C. He gave up a title he had fought to recover for a chance to become TNA’s youngest World Champion. Nic Nemeth, meanwhile, left Lockdown holding both the World Championship and the World Tag Team Championship with Ryan Nemeth. This feud has a clear imbalance: Slater is risking his position to move forward, while Nic is protecting an increasingly comfortable one.
On September 17, Slater defeated Ryan before Nic attacked him with help from his brother. Last week, Nic tried to provoke Slater with an insult about Slater’s father while Ryan waited behind him. Slater recognized the setup, dropped Ryan and fought Nic until security intervened. That mattered. The challenger understood the trap instead of conveniently forgetting the second Nemeth existed.
Santino Marella’s response gives tonight a different kind of tension. Nic will be stripped of the championship if he touches Slater before Bound For Glory; Slater will lose his opportunity if he touches Nic. Slater’s match with Joe Alonzo should demonstrate why he belongs in the main event while testing his discipline. Ryan remains outside that restriction. TNA has room to escalate the pressure without making Santino’s ruling meaningless a week after announcing it.
The Syx address carries a different burden. Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy called out the mystery attackers last week. Flickering production, another ambush and the unmasking of Sawyer and Shaw ended the guessing. The crowd reacted strongly, and TNA confirmed both signings. Shaw is returning to the company; Sawyer is joining it for the first time.
Tonight needs to establish their purpose. Why did they target these wrestlers? What do they want from The Hardys? How do weeks of attacking the roster lead directly to contracts? Their previous identities as Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis explain the audience’s familiarity. They still need motives that work within TNA. Matt and Jeff promised war afterward; Sawyer and Shaw should give that threat a direction.
Ali returned from the injuries suffered at Lockdown and retained against Hotch and Miguel after striking Miguel with the championship belt. The match earned loud approval from the crowd as the challengers kept forcing him into trouble. His escape preserved the title and left both men with reasons to keep chasing him.
His treatment of the people around him made the victory uglier. Ali berated Mila Moore, Skyler defended her, and Moore eventually quit Order 4 and pulled Skyler away with her. After the main event, Ali briefly attended to Tasha Steelz before dropping her to resume celebrating. His title mattered more than the people helping him retain it.
Tonight reunites The Great Hands against Ali and Special Agent 0. Hotch gets his former partner back across from the leader he has been fighting. The weaker part is Moore’s sudden change toward Skyler after dismissing him the previous week. That needs follow-through. Skyler’s exit should give him agency, and Moore’s involvement needs a clearer purpose than getting the group to its next breakup.
Sosa’s match with Alexander follows a more consistent sequence. At Lockdown, Eddie Edwards pinned Sosa to win Lethal Lockdown for The System. Sosa then pinned Alexander in a tag match on September 17. Edwards answered with a chair attack and a package piledriver before challenging him for Bound For Glory. Last week, Sosa stopped Brian Myers and Bear Bronson from interfering against Elijah, helping Elijah defeat Edwards. Tonight puts Sosa back against the man he already pinned. Alexander has his own championship opportunity to protect, while another Sosa victory would further embarrass Edwards’ group.
Hartwell’s title opportunity finally became official after she provoked Daria Rae into slapping her last week. Santino recorded the encounter, Daria was suspended, and Hartwell received the Knockouts World Championship match Daria had blocked. Hartwell finally turned Daria’s hostility against her.
Zoey Serrano now supplies the physical threat. Daria brought her into TNA, and Serrano promised to stop Hartwell from reaching Bound For Glory. Daria’s suspension has left Hartwell’s biggest physical obstacle in place. The problem is how much of the championship build still revolves around Daria. Xia Brookside is the champion. With ten days remaining, her issues with Hartwell need enough attention to make the eventual title match feel personal in its own right.
BDE enters his qualifier carrying the damage from last week. The Righteous defeated him and Rich Swann in Dot Combat, then added a chair attack around BDE’s neck. The crowd stayed involved in the brawl, but the feud needs a meaningful change after another loss and another assault. A championship opportunity would give BDE something to show for enduring Vincent and Dutch.
Mr. Elegance stands between him and the sixth spot at Bound For Glory. Ryan qualified by beating KJ Orso last week, joining Alexander, KC Navarro, Fabian Aichner and Swann. A BDE victory would put him alongside his partner with a championship available; an Elegance victory would give The Elegance Brand another title opportunity. Ryan’s inclusion also gives the Nemeths a chance to leave Tampa holding the World, Tag Team and X-Division championships. The final qualifier is part of a larger fight over who controls TNA’s titles.
Moose and Francis bring the most established singles pairing to tonight’s TNA iMPACT. Moose preserved his TNA career by beating Frankie Kazarian on September 17. Last week, Francis challenged his claim to be the face of the franchise by boasting about his public profile and the business he brings to the company. Moose offered to fight anytime, anywhere, and the challenge was accepted. A win over Moose would give Francis a result to support his boasting. A Moose victory should force Francis to change his approach.
Last week also secured Elayna Black a Knockouts Television Championship opportunity against M by Elegance. Black pinned Jada Stone in the four-way that included Harley Hudson and Gabby Forza. The match packed plenty into five minutes, but the division deserves enough time for its wrestlers’ differences to register. Rosemary’s straitjacket vignette, featuring another version of herself, also reopened her story without explaining what has happened to her.
The returning Call Your Shot Gauntlet adds another route to a championship. Bear Bronson, Avery Styles and Kazarian are announced, with Styles making his TNA in-ring debut. Kazarian helped secure the opportunity and then revealed he would also compete. The mentor wants the same prize. Styles’ debut now carries a question about Kazarian’s intentions alongside the attention attached to being AJ Styles’ son.

Final Thoughts
Tonight’s TNA iMPACT can strengthen the Bound For Glory build by following through on what last week established. Slater’s discipline matters. Sosa can hurt The System’s pride again. The Great Hands can challenge Ali’s remaining control, and BDE can earn an opportunity after another punishing setback.
Syx need to explain themselves, and Brookside needs a stronger place in her own championship feud. Those are fixable problems with two editions left. TNA has made the announcements. Tonight needs to make the matches feel worth paying to see.

I’m the quiet one until the bell rings then I’ve got takes. I live for WWE NXT and TNA, I want every promotion to succeed, and I will absolutely roast the bad decisions on sight (because someone has to). Anime taught me to respect long-term storytelling; wrestling taught me that sometimes the plan is “we panicked” and called it “unpredictable.” The Miz got me into all of this, so yeah I appreciate confidence, commitment, and the art of talking like you’re already the main event. Now I bring that same energy to the page as the main writer for Late Night Crew Wrestling because if you’re not here to be must-see and tell the truth, why are you here?!
