WrestleMania 42 Nights One & Two Cards Revealed

WWE officially revealed the WrestleMania 42 night-by-night lineup this morning when Joe Tessitore appeared on ESPN’s Get Up and announced which matches will take place on WrestleMania Saturday and which ones are locked in for WrestleMania Sunday. WWE’s updated event coverage and outside reporting quickly backed up the split, with Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton positioned as Night 1’s centerpiece and CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns set to headline Night 2.

The biggest takeaway is that WWE clearly wanted both nights to feel like separate major shows instead of one oversized card cut in half. Saturday looks more title-heavy and balanced on paper, while Sunday has more chaos, spectacle and unpredictability built into it. That makes the split feel intentional, not random, and it gives both nights their own identity heading into Las Vegas.

WrestleMania Saturday

  • Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Championship
  • Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship
  • AJ Lee vs. Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship
  • Drew McIntyre vs. Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned Match
  • Seth Rollins vs. Gunther
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Fatal 4-Way: The Irresistible Forces vs. The Bella Twins vs. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria
  • Logan Paul, Austin Theory & IShowSpeed vs. The Usos & LA Knight

Saturday feels built around star power, championships and matches with obvious WrestleMania weight to them. Rhodes and Orton gives Night 1 its biggest marquee match, while Vaquer-Morgan, AJ Lee-Becky Lynch and Rollins-Gunther give the show more than enough substance underneath it. On top of that, McIntyre and Fatu being unsanctioned adds the kind of edge WWE usually wants on a WrestleMania card.

WrestleMania Sunday

  • CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship
  • Jade Cargill vs. Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s Championship
  • Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi
  • Sami Zayn vs. Trick Williams for the United States Championship
  • Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match: Penta vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Dragon Lee vs. Rusev vs. JD McDonagh
  • Finn Bálor vs. Dominik Mysterio

Sunday looks like the wilder night. Punk and Reigns is the obvious headliner, but the rest of the lineup has that big-match, anything-can-happen feel to it too. Lesnar vs. Oba Femi has monster fight energy, the ladder match looks like a potential show-stealer, and Bálor vs. Dominik Mysterio adds another personal grudge match to a night that already feels loaded with volatility.

This was a smart way for WWE to roll the split out. Announcing it this morning on ESPN gave the reveal more weight, and the final lineup makes it easy to see how the company wants WrestleMania 42 to be consumed: Saturday as the more polished, title-driven show, and Sunday as the bigger swing packed with spectacle and danger. On paper, that is a strong way to frame the biggest weekend of the year.
