Today WWE held their Backlash PLE from Lyon, France and during the show the first round matchups for the upcoming King of the Ring Tournament later this month was announced.
The tournaments will kick off this Monday night on RAW which is the same night that the 2024 draft goes into effect.
Here are the first round matches in the Queen of the Ring Tournament:
Zoey Stark vs Ivy Nile
Shayna Baszler vs Zelina Vega
Lyra Valkyria vs Asuka
Natalya vs Iyo Sky
Here are the first round matches in the King of the Ring Tournament:
Gunther vs Sheamus
WWE Speed Champion Ricochet vs Ilja Dragonuv
Kofi Kingston vs Rey Mysterio
Drew McIntyre vs Finn Bálor
The SmackDown side of the tournament will be announced in the coming days.
The finals of the tournaments will take place at the King and Queen of the Fing PLE from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday May 25.
