WWE Announces Sid For 2026 Hall of Fame Legacy Class

WWE has officially announced that Sid will be inducted as part of the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame Legacy Class, giving one of the most memorable powerhouse stars of his era a fitting place in company history. The news was first made public by Triple H on X.

Known to fans as Sid Justice, Sid Vicious and Sycho Sid, Sid built his reputation on sheer presence, intensity and main-event aura. While he made his mark in several promotions, his WWE run remains the defining chapter of his legacy.

Sid arrived in WWE in 1991 and was presented as an immediate force. He quickly moved into major programs, headlined WrestleMania VIII against Hulk Hogan, then returned in the mid-1990s for an even bigger run as Sycho Sid. During that stretch, he became a two-time WWF Champion, feuded with Shawn Michaels, and entered WrestleMania 13 as champion against The Undertaker. That résumé alone secured his place as one of the company’s most unforgettable big-man attractions.

The Legacy designation is reserved for influential names whose contributions helped shape wrestling history, and Sid’s career easily fits that standard. He was a multiple-time world champion, a two-time WrestleMania main eventer, and a performer whose presence made every moment feel bigger the second he stepped on screen.

Sid will join a 2026 Hall of Fame class that already includes Stephanie McMahon, AJ Styles, Demolition and Dennis Rodman, giving this year’s group a mix of executive influence, in-ring excellence, tag team dominance and crossover star power. With Sid now added to that lineup, the class feels even stronger heading into WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas.

With this announcement, WWE is honoring a performer who always felt larger than life. Sid’s legacy was built on championship moments, towering performances and an aura fans never forgot, and now that legacy has its official place in the Hall of Fame.
