Tonight All Elite Wrestling is celebrating five years where it all took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada for the Double or Nothing PPV.
It was during the Buy-In of the show that AEW General Manager and President Tony Khan and late wife of Owen Hart, Dr. Martha Hart announced the 2024 Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments. This year’s tournaments will celebrate 25 years of the namesake foundation.
The finals of the tournament will take place once again in Calgary on the July 10th edition of AEW Dynamite. This year instead of just winning the Owen Hart championship both the male and female winners will earn a championship opportunity at All In at Wembley Stadium in London.
Last year’s winners were Ricky Starks and Willow Nightingale. Starks went on to feud with CM Punk and capture the AEW World Tag Team Championship with Big Bill. Nightingale would go to become the TBS Champion at this year’s Dynasty PPV. The inaugural tournament winners back in 2022 were Adam Cole and Britt Baker.
