Final Thoughts

This looks like a worthwhile episode of Collision on paper, especially for a taped show airing in the middle of AEW’s Summer Blockbuster week. Kenny Omega picking up a win before facing Zack Sabre Jr., The Dogs defeating The Young Bucks and Starlight Kid answering Thekla’s challenge all give the show a clear purpose as the road to Forbidden Door continues.

The TBS Championship qualifiers also keep the Survival of the Fittest match moving forward, while the Cincinnati Street Fight gives the episode a chaotic closing match involving several wrestlers who remain connected to AEW’s larger storylines. It may not be a must-see show from beginning to end, but there are enough meaningful developments to make it worth checking out Saturday night.
