According to PWInsider former Wyatt Family member and SmackDown Tag Team Champion Erick Rowan resigned with WWE.
The last time Rowan was April 2020 when he was apart of the massive releases due to the pandemic. So this signing would mark the end of his four year absence with the company. Rowan was featured as member as the Wyatt Family alongside the late Bray Wyatt, the late Brodie Lee fka Luke Harper and Braun Strowman. He was also a former SmackDown tag team champion alongside Brodie Lee.
Since his release back in April of 2020 Rowan worked the independent scene as Erick Redbeard.
He would make two brief appearances alongside Braun Strowman for the tribute episodes of both Brodie Lee and Bray Wyatt.
He was recently pulled from an independent show due to contractual obligations.

I’m the quiet one until the bell rings then I’ve got takes. I live for WWE NXT and TNA, I want every promotion to succeed, and I will absolutely roast the bad decisions on sight (because someone has to). Anime taught me to respect long-term storytelling; wrestling taught me that sometimes the plan is “we panicked” and called it “unpredictable.” The Miz got me into all of this, so yeah I appreciate confidence, commitment, and the art of talking like you’re already the main event. Now I bring that same energy to the page as the main writer for Late Night Crew Wrestling because if you’re not here to be must-see and tell the truth, why are you here?!
