Today it was announced during night two of NXT Spring Breakin’ by NXT General Manager Ava that the inaugural NXT Women’s North American Champion will be crowned in a ladder match at NXT Battleground.
Ava explained their will be a 12 woman combine with six of the women will then go on to compete in the ladder match at NXT Battleground on Sunday June 9th at the UFC Apex.
The title is following the history of the men’s title as current AEW star and former NXT North American Champion Adam Cole became the inaugural Men’s NXT North American Champion in a six man ladder match at NXT TakeOver New Orleans in 2018.
The women’s title was first unveiled earlier this month at NXT Stand and Deliver.
Who will show that they got what it takes to make it into the ladder? Who will climb the ladder and write their names in the history books?

I’m the quiet one until the bell rings then I’ve got takes. I live for WWE NXT and TNA, I want every promotion to succeed, and I will absolutely roast the bad decisions on sight (because someone has to). Anime taught me to respect long-term storytelling; wrestling taught me that sometimes the plan is “we panicked” and called it “unpredictable.” The Miz got me into all of this, so yeah I appreciate confidence, commitment, and the art of talking like you’re already the main event. Now I bring that same energy to the page as the main writer for Late Night Crew Wrestling because if you’re not here to be must-see and tell the truth, why are you here?!
