This past Monday on the Nikki and Brie Show podcast Nikki Garcia fka Nikki Bella spoke about recently considering joining All Elite Wrestling after Mercedes Monè made her debut.
Garcia talked about how her and her sister Brie are always lifting and in a wrestling mindset. She even said she almost called AEW President and CEO, Tony Khan:
“Since we’ve been lifting so much, we always say, we always start to get that wrestling mindset, ‘We’re going to go back and do this story and cut this promo.’
You get it, but how serious I got where I was like, ‘Okay, I think I can do maybe a year at AEW and I can do it every week.’ When I saw Mercedes (Monè) debut and cut her promo, that line stuck with me, ‘Here, we’re going to make the evolution worldwide.’
I was like, ‘They do.’ It goes into many leagues, is what she means, it doesn’t have to be at one place. It can be at all these places where all these women are wrestling at. I go, ‘Brie, I think I can do it for a year. I can do it here to here and go every week.’
Then, I thought of Matteo. I had a good week of like, ‘This is it. I’m going to call Tony Khan. I’m your girl. I will commit.’ Then, I was like, ‘I can’t do that to my son right now. He needs me,”

Garcia is a former and the longest reigning WWE Divas Champion who retired from full time in-ring competition back in 2018. Outside of the ring her and her sister Brie stared in the WWE reality shows Total Divas and Total Bellas. The twins also have multiple businesses and between the two of them have three kids.
Speaking of Tony Khan he was recently on the Battleground Podcast where he spoke with Tim Battle and Eli on answering the call:
“If Nikki Garcia ever wanted to come in to AEW, I would be very interested in that. I think the world of her. I have so much respect for Nicole and Bri. They’re like family to us because Bryan is like a part of my family, and that means Bri and Nicole part of the family. So I have so much respect for both of them, and if Nikki was interested in coming to AEW, we would love to have her here any time.”

I’m the quiet one until the bell rings then I’ve got takes. I live for WWE NXT and TNA, I want every promotion to succeed, and I will absolutely roast the bad decisions on sight (because someone has to). Anime taught me to respect long-term storytelling; wrestling taught me that sometimes the plan is “we panicked” and called it “unpredictable.” The Miz got me into all of this, so yeah I appreciate confidence, commitment, and the art of talking like you’re already the main event. Now I bring that same energy to the page as the main writer for Late Night Crew Wrestling because if you’re not here to be must-see and tell the truth, why are you here?!
