Brock Lesnar’s WWE Future & Update

Yesterday rumors began to swirl that former WWE Superstart “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar could be making a return to the company in the near future. According to Fightful Select who talked to their sources in WWE have stated that these rumors are false. The last time we saw Lesnar in action was back at Summerslam 2023 when he lost to the now current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

It was earlier this year that the wrestling industry was rocked to it’s core when a former WWE employee by the name of Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against both WWE and Vince McMahon. Lesnar was reference in the lawsuit which immediately halted any creative plans for him. Since the lawsuit was announced he had his Royal Rumble travel cancelled and his appearances in this year’s WWE2k24 video game minimized. Lesnar was also scheduled to begin a major program with then Intercontinental Champion Gunther at the time leading into WrestleMania 40.

We also saw WWE remove all of Lensar’s merchandise from WWE Shop or saw them at a drastically discounted price. A higher up in the company also spoke to Fightful back in April that they believed even before the lawsuit that Lesnar wouldn’t be immediately return to the company. They felt that rumors from other outlets were convinced that he would be returning for WrestleMania which according to them was never the case.

It is also worth noting that Lensnar along with a couple of other names are banned from mentioning on WWE television, video packages, commentary, etc if it could be helped. This past week on Monday Night RAW both Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins mentioned him. According to Fightful Rhodes hasn’t been informed of the status change.

A source in creative stated that they haven’t heard any updates about Lesnar since his departure while another stated they would be shock to see him show up in the middle of a federal investigation. All of this comes off the heels of WWE’s CCO Paul “Triple H” Leveque could be in back in the fold soon.
