WWE NXT July 29th, 2025 Preview: Title Stakes, Women’s Contenders Collide with Fatal Influence, and Heatwave Pressure Rises

With NXT Heatwave officially set for August 24th at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts, tonight’s episode of NXT ramps up the intensity on the road to the summer’s hottest premium live event. Last week’s explosive show in Houston delivered shockwaves across the brand, headlined by the stunning arrival of WWE legend The Undertaker. The Deadman stormed the ring and planted TNA World Champion Trick Williams with a thunderous chokeslam after Williams disrespected his legacy, leaving the crowd in disbelief. Meanwhile, NXT Champion Oba Femi reasserted his dominance by outlasting Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura in a brutal Triple Threat Match to retain his title.

The chaos continued as The Culling wreaked havoc once again, defeating Sol Ruca, Zaria, Hank Walker, and Tank Ledger in an eight-person mixed tag team war, punctuated by a sudden blackout and a brief, eerie DarkState appearance before Tatum Paxley scored the pinfall on Zaria. In the women’s division, newcomer Blake Monroe made an emphatic singles debut by defeating Wren Sinclair, only to escalate matters further by planting Jordynne Grace with a vicious chair-assisted Butterfly DDT, making it clear Monroe’s welcome to NXT will be anything but peaceful. The tension reached another peak when Jacy Jayne’s dual-title celebration—honoring her reign as both NXT Women’s and TNA Knockouts Champion—was cut short by Lash Legend and Jaida Parker, who boldly declared themselves the next in line for both championships.

Tonight, the action continues to heat up as Ethan Page defends the NXT North American Championship against the returning Santino Marella, who interrupted Page’s Canadian belt unveiling to issue his challenge. In the women’s division, Fatal Influence finds itself on the defensive as Lash Legend battles Fallon Henley and Jaida Parker squares off with Jazmyn Nyx—two pivotal singles bouts that could shape the Heatwave card. With rivalries deepening, stakes rising, and the countdown to August 24 growing shorter, NXT promises another unpredictable, can’t-miss night on the road to Heatwave.

Here is everything advertised for tonight’s show:

Ethan Page (c) vs TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella (NXT North American Championship)

Jazmyn Nyx vs Jadia Parker

Fallon Henley vs Lash Legend
