It would appear that Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley of the Motor City Machine Guns tag team could be leaving TNA after next month’s Rebellion PPV.

This news comes after the shocking departure of now former TNA President Scott D’Amore last month and the appointment of Anthem and Sports Entertainment personnel, Anthony Cicione as his replacement.

Since D’Amore’s removal many talent have expressed their discontent for TNA’s parent company and how things were handled. Now with Rebellion looming on April 20th, 2024 there is uncertainty about the future of the company.

PWInsider reported that Sabin and Shelley are currently scheduled for SMASH Wrestling in London, Ontario, Canada on April 21st (the following night after Rebellion). This is also the same night that TNA will be holding their post PPV tapings. When the company does tapings for TNA iMPACT, their flagship show they tape weeks of content at a time.

It is also rumored that their contracts are set to expired at the end of March. Fightful Select has also corroborate the story of Sabin and Shelley’s contracts expiring within the month but their sources haven’t heard from them directly.

They were also informed that TNA contracts are different than what the talent have expected especially since the recent talent meeting a few weeks back. Some talent are being offered per-appearance deals instead of full time contracts.

Last year on March 23 TNA did announce that Motor City Machine Guns have resigned with the company but the details/length of the contract are unknown.

Most recently in TNA Chris Sabin became a 10 time X-Division Champion before dropping the title to Mustafa Ali at the TNA Plus No Surrender event and Alex Shelley is now a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion defeating Steve Maclin for the gold before dropping the title to Moose at Hard to Kill in January.
