WWE NXT July 15th, 2025 Preview: D’Angelo Family Civil War Erupts, Trick Williams Must Unite with His Rivals Ahead of Slammiversary, and Blake Monroe’s Betrayal Clears the Path for Jacy Jayne’s Title vs. Title Showdown

Just 48 hours removed from a red-hot Great American Bash and still echoing from the fallout of WWE Evolution, tonight’s episode of WWE NXT promises to be a collision course of vengeance, betrayal, and destiny. The road to TNA Slammiversary has never felt more volatile as alliances fracture, new threats emerge, and champion vs. champion stakes hang over the brand like a storm waiting to hit.

At the center of tonight’s episode is the final implosion of the D’Angelo Family. Tony D’Angelo, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, and Luca Crusifino—once a unified front—now step into a Triple Threat Match that’s been months in the making. From loyalty to betrayal, from internal implosions to failed mediation, this “Final Battle” will not only settle personal scores but potentially crown a new Don of NXT’s underground. It’s a story that began at Stand & Deliver and has twisted into a Shakespearean saga of respect, revenge, and resentment.

Elsewhere, the war that erupted at The Great American Bash has spilled into tonight’s main event: Trick Williams, Mike Santana, and Joe Hendry team up to take on the mysterious and menacing new stable, DarkState. What was supposed to be a championship contract signing turned violent when Trick was powerbombed through a table and left lying by DarkState’s trio of Dion Lennox, Cutler James, and Saquon Shugars. Now, just days before Slammiversary, Trick and challengers must somehow regroup, respond and get on the same page for one night only. Trick defends the TNA World Championship this Sunday, and tonight’s chaos could determine whether he enters as the face of resilience or the latest casualty of DarkState’s calculated rise.

The consequences of Evolution are being felt across NXT as well. In a shocking moment on Sunday night, Blake Monroe—once calling Jordynne Grace her “Muscle Muffin”—viciously turned on her ally and cost her the match against Jacy Jayne, allowing Jayne to retain the NXT Women’s Championship. This betrayal not only shattered Grace’s Evolution momentum but cleared the path for Jayne to walk into Slammiversary for a title vs. title, winner-takes-all match against TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich. Blake’s turn wasn’t just shocking—it was timed. Fans will recall that Monroe has a tendency to stab her closest allies in the back right around mid-July, an eerie repeat of a prior infamous betrayal that reshaped her career. With her allegiance now clearly on the side of chaos, Blake Monroe might be one of the most dangerous X-factors in all of WWE and TNA.

As Slammiversary looms this Sunday and NXT Heatwave next month, tonight’s NXT is more than a weekly episode—it’s a turning point. Betrayals have consequences. Loyalty has a price. And champions must now walk through fire if they want to reach the other side still holding gold.
