After a notable absence, WWE is officially heading back to Mexico this summer for two blockbuster events that promise to celebrate lucha libre heritage while delivering the electric in-ring action only WWE can provide. As announced today by WWE (part of TKO Group Holdings) and first reported on WWE.com, the company will return for a two-night Supershow experience — stopping at Arena CDMX in Mexico City on Saturday, July 26, and hitting Arena Monterrey in Monterrey on Sunday, July 27.
These will be WWE’s only events in Mexico in 2025, making them can’t-miss shows for fans across the region and around the globe.
WWE’s Longstanding Legacy in Mexico
Mexico has always held a special place in the world of professional wrestling and in WWE history. From the iconic appearances of Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio to live events that have packed out arenas across the country, WWE has consistently drawn massive audiences south of the border. The last time WWE ran live events in Mexico was back in October 2023, with sold-out stops that highlighted the strong, passionate fanbase in cities like Monterrey and Mexico City.
Now, nearly two years later, WWE’s return signifies a renewed commitment to its international presence and, more importantly, to its cultural exchange with lucha libre — Mexico’s signature wrestling style.
Supershow Lineup: A Cross-Brand and Cross-Promotion Showcase
The Supershow Mexico lineup is already shaping up to be one of the summer’s biggest attractions, with a star-studded roster pulled from both Raw and SmackDown. Among the Superstars confirmed to appear:
- Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix – two of lucha libre’s most celebrated modern icons
- Dominik Mysterio – current Intercontinental Champion and heir to one of the most storied lucha dynasties
- “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes
- “Main Event” Jey Uso
- United States Champion Jacob Fatu
- World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER
- Stephanie Vaquer – one of the rising international stars in women’s wrestling
- WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day – Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods bringing their championship gold to Mexico
But that’s not all — in a move that highlights WWE’s growing working relationship with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, several of AAA’s top names will also be appearing at both events, including:
- Pagano
- Psycho Clown
- Mr. Iguana
This collaboration strengthens the WWE/AAA alliance that began surfacing more visibly over the past year. With AAA talent featuring on cross-promoted specials like Worlds Collide, speculation is now swirling about possible interpromotional matches or even title defenses in front of a Mexican crowd. Could this be the start of something even bigger for 2025 and beyond?
Tickets and Superstar Meet & Greet packages will officially go on sale this Thursday, June 19 at 10:00 AM CST via www.superboletos.com. Whether you’re looking to catch your favorite WWE Superstars in action or meet them up close, these packages offer something for every kind of fan.
Both Arena CDMX and Arena Monterrey are expected to be electric environments, and with limited shows in the country this year, these two dates are likely to sell out fast.
