WWE Monday Night RAW Preview – June 16, 2025: Final Opening Round Matches in the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments, Nick Aldis Steps In, Nikki Bella Appears, and Liv Morgan in Action

Last week’s Monday Night RAW emanated from the blazing desert heat of Phoenix, Arizona, delivering major fallout from Money in the Bank and showcasing two pivotal opening round matches in the 2025 King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments. Roxanne Perez delivered a breakout performance, advancing to the semifinals. Following developments on Friday Night SmackDown, she’s now set to face Jade Cargill this Friday in a battle of rising stars. In the men’s tournament, a shocking appearance by LA Knight derailed Bron Breakker’s momentum, allowing Sami Zayn to seize the win and earn a semifinal clash with “The Viper” Randy Orton.

The night also saw a high-stakes WrestleMania rematch in the main event, as Jey Uso defended the World Heavyweight Championship against “The Ring General” Gunther. In a brutal and emotional showdown, Gunther emerged victorious, ending Uso’s title reign. Now, in a bid to rebound and reclaim his place at the top, Uso will step into the King of the Ring tournament as the final surprise entrant.

In one of the most talked-about moments of the night, WWE veteran R-Truth shed his comedic persona and reemerged as the serious and dangerous Ron Killings, following his stunning interference at Money in the Bank. This week, Killings sets his sights on the biggest prize of all, as he will face Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena this Friday on SmackDown in a rematch from last month’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Meanwhile, Bayley made a violent return to RAW, blindsiding Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch. The attack was payback for being pulled from her WrestleMania tag team title match alongside former champion Lyra Valkyria—igniting a new personal rivalry.

Tonight, the red brand heads to Green Bay, Wisconsin’s Resch Center, but with RAW General Manager Adam Pearce out of commission, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis will temporarily take the reins. With Aldis’ stern leadership style and deep ties to competition, his involvement could have major implications on the direction of the brand—and the outcome of tonight’s show.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan will be in action against Kairi Sane of Damage CTRL and is also expected to address her shocking assault on WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella last week. Adding even more excitement, Asuka makes her highly anticipated return and officially enters the Queen of the Ring tournament, immediately becoming a major threat in the bracket.

As the Road to Night of Champions on Saturday, June 28 accelerates—and with the historic Evolution premium live event looming next month—RAW is heating up with major twists, tournament drama, and shifting power dynamics.

Who will advance? Who will fall? And how will Nick Aldis’ presence affect the course of Monday Night RAW?

Here is everything advertised for tonight’s show:
