Last night’s AEW Dynamite felt like one of those shows that quietly did a lot more heavy lifting than it may get credit for at first glance. On paper, the hook was obvious: Darby Allin’s first AEW World Championship defense against Tommaso Ciampa just one week after he shocked MJF and won the title. In … Read more
Maple Leaf Pro hit Las Vegas last night for MULTIVERSE and delivered the kind of show that made its identity a little clearer. This was not built like a promotion running one central blood feud or one defining house style. It was built like a Scott D’Amore card during WrestleMania week: inter-promotional talent, different styles … Read more
Maple Leaf Pro is still a new promotion, but it is not a cold start. Scott D’Amore has positioned it as both a revival of the old Maple Leaf Wrestling name and a modern international project built around partnerships, outside talent, and a presentation that feels closer to a traditional supercard than a stripped-down indie. … Read more
WrestleCon brought the Mark Hitchcock Memorial SuperShow to Horseshoe Las Vegas today and delivered the kind of card this event usually promises: nostalgia, chaos, hard-hitting wrestling, lucha, and a little bit of everything else. MJF escaped Kenny Omega to retain the AEW World Championship, Kevin Knight had a breakout moment by winning the vacant TNT Title, Kyle O’Reilly returned to help The Conglomeration win the AEW World Trios Titles, and Kamille made an … Read more
AEW has done a solid job making tonight feel important. Not just because the card is loaded with talent, but because the top of the show actually carries weight. MJF defending the AEW World Championship against Kenny Omega gives Dynasty its prestige fight. Jon Moxley defending the Continental Championship against Will Ospreay gives it its … Read more
AEW’s final Dynamite before Dynasty had the exact kind of energy a go-home show is supposed to have. It was chaotic, angle-heavy, and built around one clear idea: Sunday’s card is now set, but not without a few last-minute twists. The biggest one came before tonight’s show really settled in, as the TNT Championship was … Read more
Last night AEW went into Winnipeg needing a strong build for Dynasty, and Dynamite delivered a show that was far more notable for movement than for shock value.
