Last night’s edition of WWE NXT was anything but cool, calm, and collected. With the black-and-silver brand cranking the temperature up in the final stop before this weekend’s Great American Bash and Evolution Premium Live Events in Atlanta, chaos reigned and stories combusted. The night kicked off in seismic fashion as Ricky Saints did the unthinkable—surviving Vanity Row by defeating each member of The Vanity Project in succession. Now, not only has Saints earned a rematch for the NXT North American Championship against “All Ego” Ethan Page, but he gets to name the stipulation.
In tag team action, champions Hank and Tank—better known as The Belly Boys—barely retained their titles in a brutal clash against The Culling, thanks to a timely intervention from Sol Ruca and Zaria, who neutralized Tatum Paxley and Ruca’s Bash opponent, Izzi Dame. Amid the carnage, WWE Hall of Famer and NXT commentator Booker T was taken out accidentally, as Tank went crashing into the five-time WCW Champion at ringside.
But the moment that turned heads and dropped jaws came courtesy of The Juggernaut Jordynne Grace, who took a curious step outside her usual grind-it-out, iron-willed comfort zone. With The Glamour Blake Monroe as her guide, Grace received a full-blown introduction to high fashion, champagne tastes, and the VIP life. While Grace’s demeanor screamed intensity, her awkward acclimation to Monroe’s glitzy world revealed the duality of a war-ready powerhouse stepping into a spotlight not of her own making. Whether she’s flexing her muscles or flexing her style, the question remains—can The Juggernaut merge her brute strength with The Glamour’s allure to take down Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley this Saturday, and roll that momentum into her Evolution showdown for the NXT Women’s Championship on Sunday?
And if that wasn’t enough to raise the stakes, NXT General Manager Ava closed the night with a bombshell Evolution Summit, revealing the black-and-silver brand’s participants for Sunday’s all-brand battle royal. The surprise return of RAW’s own Stephanie Vaquer—a former NXT Women’s and North American Champion—sent shockwaves through the division, instantly igniting the confidence (and competition) of every woman in the locker room. All eyes are now on Clash in Paris on August 31st, where the winner of that battle royal will challenge for championship gold.
With factions fraying, titles barely hanging in the balance, and rivalries boiling over, one question remains—how will last night’s chaos reshape the destiny of NXT heading into The Great American Bash and Evolution?
