WWE Monday Night RAW Results – June 16, 2025: Goldberg Shocks the WWE Universe, Jey Uso and Asuka Advance in Tournaments, Liv Morgan Injured, Women’s Intercontinental Title Match Set for Next Week

GOLDBERG! GOLDBERG! GOLDBERG! That’s right, ladies and gentlemen — you read that correctly. WWE Hall of Famer and former WCW and Universal Champion Goldberg is back! The iconic powerhouse made a thunderous return on last night’s explosive edition of Monday Night RAW, shaking the WWE Universe to its core just weeks before Saturday Night’s Main Event. But before we dive into the shocking standoff between Goldberg and World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, let’s break down a night that had major implications across the board.

The Queen of the Ring Tournament saw the return of The Empress of Tomorrow Asuka, who scored a hard-fought victory in the final opening-round fatal four-way match. Fans were treated to a brief but electric exchange between Asuka and La Primera Stephanie Vaquer — a dream singles match waiting to happen. Meanwhile, Liv Morgan, accompanied by Dominik Mysterio, kicked off the show with her eyes locked on Iyo Sky’s Women’s World Championship. However, tragedy struck during her match against Kairi Sane, where Liv suffered a reported separated shoulder. With Evolution on the horizon, her status is now uncertain.

Elsewhere, The Man Becky Lynch addressed Bayley’s shocking return and attack from last week. The two titans of the women’s division are now set to clash next Monday for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship — a match fueled by years of animosity, as detailed on this week’s episode of RAW Recap with Bayley as the featured guest.

In tournament action, the King and Queen of the Ring semifinals are officially set: Jade Cargill vs. Roxanne Perez this Friday on SmackDown, Asuka vs. Alexa Bliss, Randy Orton vs. Sami Zayn, and Cody Rhodes vs. Jey Uso — the latter going down next week on RAW in what promises to be a main event for the ages.

But it all comes back to Goldberg. During Gunther’s in-ring championship celebration, the chants that once haunted “The Ring General” grew louder — and this time, Goldberg answered them. Still furious over the disrespect shown during their Bad Blood encounter last October, Goldberg laid down a thunderous challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Rumors are swirling that this could be Goldberg’s final match — and possibly his most personal. Has Gunther awakened the beast one last time?

With Night of Champions, Saturday Night’s Main Event, and Evolution looming, the landscape of WWE is shifting fast. What will the fallout be from RAW’s high-stakes twists and thunderous returns? One thing’s for sure: the road to summer is heating up.
