Tonight, under the blazing lights of the state-of-the-art Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, WWE presents Night of Champions—an event where legacies are forged, rivalries explode, and royalty is crowned. With two championships on the line and the finals of both the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments, this premium live event promises seismic shifts across the WWE landscape.
The United States Championship takes center stage in a family feud that has reached a boiling point. Champion Jacob Fatu, once fiercely loyal to his cousin Solo Sikoa, now finds himself standing across the ring from a man who’s cost him matches, opportunities, and perhaps, trust. After weeks of betrayal and tension, it all came to a head at Money in the Bank, where Fatu turned the tables, costing Solo his shot at the briefcase—and igniting another chapter in the Bloodline Civil War. But as the smoke rises, questions remain: where does Jimmy Uso, “Big Jim” himself, stand as he continues to clash with Solo’s new enforcer, JC Mateo?
Elsewhere, the past collides with the present as Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena defends his title against his most iconic rival, the self-proclaimed Voice of the Voiceless, CM Punk. Their last one-on-one encounter came over a decade ago, with Punk cast as the rebel and Cena the face of the company. But in 2025, the roles have reversed—Cena, now a villainous shell of the Cenation leader he once was, finds himself staring down the man who’s vowed to humble him before the clock runs out on his farewell tour. As Corey Graves aptly put it: Punk was once the yin to Cena’s yang—but now, the balance has shifted. Can Punk snap the spell Cena has cast over the WWE Universe and walk out as champion?
The card also features emotional stakes and raw violence: Sami Zayn seeks redemption and revenge against Karrion Kross after months of psychological warfare, while former tag partners and Queen of the Ring hopefuls Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez settle their unfinished business in a brutal Street Fight. And then, the crown awaits. In the Queen of the Ring Finals, the returning warrior Asuka, back from a devastating knee injury, aims to reclaim her throne by defeating the indomitable force that is Jade Cargill. In the King of the Ring Finals, it’s a battle of blood and betrayal as former Legacy members Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes fight not only for glory but for vengeance—each man desperate to earn a title shot at SummerSlam and finally unseat the man who wronged them both: John Cena.
Tonight, kings and queens will rise. Champions may fall. And in the heart of the desert, WWE’s future will be forever rewritten.
