WWE NXT August 5th, 2025 Results: Sol Ruca Stands Tall, DarkState Strikes, and the Road to Heatwave Heats Up

Last night’s episode of WWE NXT was a volatile turning point on the road to Heatwave, featuring two championship defenses, escalating inter-brand rivalries, and a show-closing main event surrounded by interference and chaos. Sol Ruca retained her NXT Women’s North American Championship in a hard-fought battle against Tatum Paxley, with outside involvement from The Culling, a ringside riot between Lash Legend and Nia Jax, and high drama swirling around every corner of the women’s division.

Earlier in the night, Blake Monroe fled mid-match after the sudden arrival of Jordynne Grace, handing Kelani Jordan a count-out victory and fueling their newly confirmed showdown at Heatwave. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo pulled off a highly controversial win over Yoshiki Inamura, capitalizing on interference from Arianna Grace and a sneak attack by Josh Briggs. Meanwhile, Hank Walker & Tank Ledger successfully defended their NXT Tag Team Titles against Chase U, only to be laid out by the returning DarkState, who later revealed themselves as the masterminds behind months of attacks—officially earning a title shot at Heatwave.

Add in a commanding return win for Nia Jax, a fiery promo confrontation between Oba Femi, Trick Williams, and Je’Von Evans, a surreal backstage cameo from Joe Hendry, and multiple storyline developments across the board, and NXT once again proved why it’s the most unpredictable hour in wrestling each week.
