GUNTHER opens RAW with a chilling message for John Cena

GUNTHER set the tone immediately, praising Cena’s legacy before promising to break him physically and spiritually in Cena’s final match. WWE punctuated the moment with more installments of Tom Rinaldi’s emotional sit-down with Cena, creating a sharp contrast between Cena’s humility and GUNTHER’s cold confidence.

Saturday Night’s Main Event is no farewell party — it is a reckoning.

Iyo Sky defeats Kairi Sane as Oba Femi scouts from ringside

Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane went at a blistering pace in a match highlighting their shared history and evolving rivalry. With Rhea Ripley countering Asuka at ringside, Iyo avoided the Insane Elbow and hit a decisive springboard flurry to secure the win.

NXT Champion Oba Femi, who faces Cody Rhodes in a non-title exhibition this Saturday, was shown observing the action — a reminder of NXT’s growing stake in Cena’s final showcase.

Logan Paul and the masked attacker ambush Rey Mysterio; LA Knight demands justice

Before Rey Mysterio could face Finn Bálor, Logan Paul jumped him on the entrance ramp. The masked assailant from Survivor Series struck again with a vicious stomp, flattening Rey and rendering the match impossible to start.

LA Knight, furious at the disrespect toward a Hall of Famer, stormed the ring and demanded a match with Logan Paul later in the show — a challenge Adam Pearce made official.

Judgment Day celebrated the chaos while revealing they still have no idea who the masked attacker is.

Styles & Dragon Lee retain as The Usos return to shake up the tag division

AJ Styles & Dragon Lee retained the WWE World Tag Team Championship against The War Raiders in a physical, high-energy title defense. After narrowly overcoming Erik and Ivar’s power assaults, Styles connected with a well-timed Phenomenal Forearm to seal the win.

Their celebration was cut short when The New Day confronted the champions — but the arena erupted for the shocking return of Jimmy & Jey Uso, reunited and recommitted to the tag team division. The Usos leveled The New Day and stared down Styles and Dragon Lee, instantly shifting the entire landscape heading into 2026.

Raquel Rodríguez steps to Stephanie Vaquer after brutal attack on Nikki Bella

Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer addressed the state of the division before Nikki Bella interrupted, demanding a rematch. Before Vaquer could respond, Raquel Rodríguez blindsided Nikki, driving her shoulder-first into the ring post in a violent attack.

Raquel then confronted Vaquer directly, declaring herself the next title challenger.

Backstage, tension rose inside Judgment Day as Liv Morgan confronted Raquel for acting alone, while Liv shifted her focus with Roxanne Perez toward chasing the Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Roxanne Perez defeats Lyra Valkyria as Sol Ruca watches from ringside

With Sol Ruca observing from the front row ahead of her exhibition match with Bayley on Saturday, Roxanne Perez battled Lyra Valkyria in a tightly contested match influenced heavily by ringside chaos.

Bayley’s attempt to help backfired, allowing Perez to hit Pop Rox and earn the victory. The result strengthens Perez’s momentum while casting more doubt over Lyra’s partnership with Bayley.

Logan Paul defeats LA Knight — but Bronson Reed delivers the catastrophic attack that sends Knight to the hospital

The main event turned into a spectacle of escalating violence.

Logan Paul struck first, attacking LA Knight before the bell. Once Breakker and Reed were ejected from ringside, the masked attacker delivered another cheap-shot stomp, leaving Logan free to hit a frog splash for the win.

But what happened after the match defined the night — and rewrote LA Knight’s future.

While Logan and Breakker initiated the post-match assault, Bronson Reed delivered the critical, career-threatening damage:

  • Reed crushed Knight with multiple Tsunamis backstage
  • Knight was dragged into the loading dock
  • Knight was slammed onto a car hood
  • Reed climbed stacked crates
  • Bronson Reed hit a massive Tsunami from the crates onto Knight on the car, triggering the alarm

The visual was horrifying, and WWE later confirmed Knight was rushed to a hospital (storyline). Reed’s brutality instantly repositioned him as one of RAW’s most dangerous heavyweights.

Earlier in the night, Breakker fired a venomous promo at CM Punk, promising to take the World Heavyweight Title on January 5 and daring Punk to show up as the violent version fans once feared.
