WWE has hit the stage of the WrestleMania 42 build where Raw has to do more than remind viewers the biggest show of the year is coming. Tonight has to sharpen direction, strengthen rivalries, and make the top stories feel bigger than they did a week ago. Brock Lesnar is back after Oba Femi dropped him with Fall from Grace. CM Punk and Roman Reigns are both set to appear as their WrestleMania collision grows more personal. Becky Lynch is expected to address her attack on AJ Lee, while Penta has another Intercontinental Championship defense in a match that should be one of the strongest in-ring offerings on the show.
That is what gives tonight’s Raw its importance. This is not a show that can coast on hype. It has to follow through. Last week created real movement at the top of the card, especially with Oba stepping directly into Lesnar’s orbit and Punk escalating things with Reigns. Tonight now carries the burden of turning that momentum into something sharper and more focused.
Here is everything advertised for tonight’s show
- Penta (c) vs. Dominik Mysterio (Intercontinental Championship)
- Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs. The Kabuki Warriors
- Je’Von Evans vs. Grayson Waller
- The Vision vs. The Usos
- Brock Lesnar returns
- CM Punk and Roman Reigns appear
- Becky Lynch addresses her attack on AJ Lee
Lesnar’s return is the centerpiece because WWE now has to prove last week’s angle was more than a great visual. Oba Femi did not just interrupt Lesnar. He planted him and immediately made the WrestleMania match feel bigger. Tonight is the first real chance to show how Lesnar responds when that aura gets cracked.
Punk and Reigns are the other major force hanging over the show. Their feud works because it is not just about star power. It is about ego, resentment, and control. Punk standing tall last week gave tonight’s follow-up real weight, and WWE needs this segment to deepen the hostility rather than simply repeat it.
Becky Lynch speaking also matters. Her attack on AJ Lee did exactly what it needed to do by cutting through the post-match respect and putting heat right back on Becky. Now the promo has to give the angle purpose. If Becky makes her actions feel calculated rather than impulsive, the feud immediately feels stronger.
Penta against Dominik Mysterio has the clearest chance to steal the wrestling side of the night. Penta has been presented as an active, credible champion, while Dominik is always effective when the story is whether he can steal something he does not deserve. That contrast should make this one of the easiest matches on the card for the crowd to invest in.
Bayley and Lyra Valkyria against The Kabuki Warriors gives the women’s division another meaningful showcase, while Je’Von Evans versus Grayson Waller feels like the kind of undercard match that can quietly reveal who WWE wants to keep building at the right time.
Then there is The Vision against The Usos, a match that feels more important for its larger story implications than for the match itself. It fits into the wider Raw power struggle and gives WWE another way to keep several moving pieces connected on the road to WrestleMania.
Tonight’s Raw should be judged on one thing above all else: whether it creates escalation. Brock Lesnar’s return, Punk and Reigns sharing the same building, Becky Lynch addressing AJ Lee, and Penta defending the Intercontinental Championship are the clear anchors of the episode. If WWE delivers progression instead of repetition, Raw should feel like a meaningful WrestleMania build show. That is the challenge tonight, and that is what makes this episode feel important.

I’m the quiet one until the bell rings then I’ve got takes. I live for WWE NXT and TNA, I want every promotion to succeed, and I will absolutely roast the bad decisions on sight (because someone has to). Anime taught me to respect long-term storytelling; wrestling taught me that sometimes the plan is “we panicked” and called it “unpredictable.” The Miz got me into all of this, so yeah I appreciate confidence, commitment, and the art of talking like you’re already the main event. Now I bring that same energy to the page as the main writer for Late Night Crew Wrestling because if you’re not here to be must-see and tell the truth, why are you here?!
